Let's not forget probably the biggest bust of them all--Reggie Bush. Funny part is, I remember when the Texans took Mario Williams over Bush, the media absolutely tore the Texans apart. A few years later, Williams is recognized as one (if not the) best players in the NFL and Bush has, quite simply, failed to live up to expectations.

Am I missing something? Bush had an incredible rookie year did he not? The Saints look to be in the thick of things again this year, certainly more promising than the Bengals or Browns.

And in the mean time, keeping with the threads theme, Fuck you, Len-Dale.

Bush hasn't lived up to pre-draft hype, but I'm not going to call him a bust. He had a very good rookie year, as cincibuck said, and had to be relied upon to be the feature back last year. Let's face it, he's not a feature back in the NFL (yet). He needs to be out creating mismatches, which is much harder to do if you're the teams main RB.

I consider Palmer a top-five NFL QB. Give him a defense and I think he'll do better. Leinart has sucked. White is nothing special. Mike Williams has been a huge disappointment.

Even that little bitch Palmer is on the line. What Trojan HAS lived up the expectations in the last 5 years?

Your post says it all. When people anoint you as a #1 pick overall in the NFL draft and you're still not a feature back in the NFL after a few years in the league, you're a bust IMO. By the time his career's over, I'd imagine we'll all be saying that he had a decent career and was probably worth a 2nd to 5th round pick, not a 2nd to 5th overall pick.

I don't think they drafted him to be a feature back. He's had 312 rushes, 161 receptions, and 31 returns. He has a total of 2533 yards in two seasons, along with 15 TDs. He's missed four games, as well. They want the ball in his hands, not necessarily as a feature back.

Not a bust.

2,533 yards in two seasons works out to just over 1,250 yards/season. That's not too impressive when you take into account that that includes return yards. I'd imagine that there are many NFL players (who weren't #2 overall picks, mind you) that have put up 1,250 yards/season over the last two years.

That's your opinion. IMO, he is a bust. I'd bet that the vast majority of NFL GMs would agree with me, if you asked them whether they'd be happy with a #2 overall pick averaging 1,250 all purpose yards per season.
