I tend to agree, but that just isn't how it would go. Gilbert and the Cavs would roll out the red carpet to bring him back and make the Cavs relevent again. They were the biggest thing going in Cleveland while he was there. LeBron is an enterprise unto himself, and most Heat "fans" would instantly become Cavs fans again. While the Cleveland fans mostly remained loyal in the 4 years since, a chance to add a player to get them back to where they were from 2006-10 is something they would jump at at almost any cost.

In the last 4 years LeBron was in Cleveland, they ranked 3rd, 3rd, 4th, and 2nd in the league in attendance.

In the 4 years since, 3rd, 19th, 22nd, and 16th.

Him returning would put them right back in the top-5 in the league and add playoff revenue. Gilbert would burn his son's bowties to get back there.

I'm not a Cav's fan and certainly not a fan of LeBron but if he went back, you guys would have to root for him.

He became an unlikeable bitch to me in Game 5 vs Boston. Just flat quit and that isn't something you can forget.

If fanboys weren't trying to put him in GOAT conversations all the time I'd probably despise the pussy a little less.

That is something I wouldn't be able to get over until he actually brought a title to Cleveland. "The Decision" nonsense was infuriating, that ridiculous pep rally they held in miami after they signed was salt in the wound, but him quitting in that series against Boston was despicable. He had a foot out the door that whole season, but he did a decent job of hiding it until that show of cowardice.

I understand that some of the Cavs fans are still upset. But you'd be absolutely stupid not to welcome him back with open arms. What he'd do for the economy alone is worth eating your pride.

As long as the Cavs don't do anything stupid and short-sighted before draft night, they could have:

PG - Irving
SG - Waiters
SF - Wiggins (Parker no longer makes ANY sense)
PF - LeBron
C - Varejao/Make a move for a decent player

That team also have Bennett (who we can only hope improves, as people are expecting), and Thompson. You could alternatively move Wiggins or Waiters to the bench, move LeBron to 3, and put Thompson at the 4. There's talk of a cap dump to pair LeBron with Carmelo. Things could get interesting here.

At this point, it's really unfair to even tease that he might come back to Cleveland. Lebron should really just go ahead and announce that it isn't going to happen if he's not considering it. Not fair to the Cavs or their fans, especially with the draft in two days.

That, more than anything, is what upsets me. He knows about the speculation. He knows Cleveland is coming up in the media. He knows the fanbase and city are getting their hopes up. Don't let that happen this time Lebron. Just take Cleveland out of the discussion/speculation and let us all move on.

The worse thing I hate about LeBron is how much of a flopper he became in Miami. Must have gotten training from Wade.
The way he swings his arms to get contact on quick shots (like Durant) is such a bitch move.
LeBron and Durant are better than resorting to that bush league stuff.
I think Wade complains after every single shot he misses. He is half the reason I hate the heat.
Like Chuck said, they're a bunch of cry babies.

I think wade and bosh will take less money, Lebron will sign up for another 3 years in Miami.
The Cavs will draft Wiggins, become a playoff contender, and get Lebron back the next time he becomes a free agent.
I don't think the Cavs have a shot at getting LeBron back, until they start making the playoffs.

Never happen. Deep down, he's still a desperately insecure attention whore that needs to be the center of attention.

And if we're gonna engage in this speculation...and why the hell not, it's interesting (still not happening)...please leave Marshmelo out of any fantasies. His defense-deficient fat ass would hinder any championship hopes more than elevate them. I think LeBron knows that, too.

He was a monsterous flopper in Cleveland, too. We just ignored it because he was "our boy." Fact is, most of the top players in the league nowadays flop around like a Pike out of water. It's one of the reasons for my considerable distaste for the nba product as a whole.

LeBron definitely got a lot of calls his way in Cleveland, but I don't remember him having to do as much acting.
Its kind of ridiculous, how many calls he gets regardless. Defenders basically cant touch him on the way to the basket or its an instant whistle.
Hibbert is the only person I've seen the Refs allow to make contact at the rim and not get an instant whistle.
The flopping and touch fouls on superstars definitely ruin the game.
