Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

Why does Cowherd seem to be radioactive on BP? Yours is the third comment I've seen negative on him.

edit: fourth

I'm sure any team's forum other than USC will have mostly negative comments about the guy. He's admitted to loving USC, by the way.

He's a known pot-stirrer, like I said. ESPN's radio version of Skip Bayless.

He's a shock jock. He makes a living on being outrageous and getting people to disagree with him so they listen to his show and talk about him. With guys like him you can never tell what he genuinely believes to be true and what he's saying just to gain attention.

Cowherd supposedly like USC for example, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if that weren't really true. It's just been good for ratings for most of the past decade. USC was winning and their fans are going to be excited to hear him talk them up, and all the other fans whose teams were getting their asses kicked are going to tune in, call or email his show to argue or curse him under their breath.

Most of the public sentiment around James' decision seems to be that LeBron had done some people wrong to at least some extent. I haven't heard his show in years, but a full-throated defense and praise of LeBron on his part was entirely predictable.

Spin how? Jim Gray had an idea. Maverick Carter and LeBron James didn't realize how bad it was. ESPN didn't have the scruples to defend one of their last morsels of journalistic integrity. End of story.

I hope some athlete from Ohio pulls a Chad Curtis the next time Jim Gray's sorry ass tries to get an interview.

"I'm sorry, Jim. I've decided that I can't give you an interview because of the ridiculous 'The Decision' interview you conducted with that traitor whose name shall not be mentioned."

Just let the haters hate. When you're THAT intent on belittling and berating someone based on a single mitigating factor, it's not going to matter how much logic or sense is involved in the rebuttals. Some people really enjoy these [censored] talking circle-jerks. Can't blame folks for venting their frustration.

While I might agree that LeBron doesn't deserve ripping the likes of death threats and quips about his family, he DID make a really bad decision in terms of upholding any sort of reputation. Whoever's idea the special was really is irrelevant when LeBron and his camp agreed to take part in it. Because of that, anyone who wants to question his integrity is entirely right for doing so.

Cleveland has 48 days of snow every year, coupled with an average temp of 50 degrees. Miami has 3150 hours of sun a year and no snow, coupled with an average temp of 76 degrees.

I've been down to central/south Florida and gets damn cold there, too. Ocala was below freezing for a week, and it had lows in the 40s for weeks. Not to mention hurricanes and some of the worst thunderstorms on the planet. Don't imply that it's always warm and sunny year 'round down there.

I live in Hawaii where the weather is indeed as consistently warm and sunny as you imply Miami is (Honolulu's all-time summer high is 95 and all-time winter night low is 56--not even a swing of 40 degrees between all-time extremes). I was born and raised in NE Ohio, and even though I chose to live here over Ohio or any other mainland location, I do miss the seasonal changes, especially the snow. When I go back to Youngstown in November for my reunion, I'm hoping they have to typical snowy, overcast, dreary weather. Now, I wouldn't want to go through a whole winter there anymore, but the same weather month after month does wear thin, believe it or not.

Should we think poorly of you for choosing to live elsewhere, regardless of your reason? I also miss the weather in Ohio, but I'm ready for Florida again after about ten minutes of Christmas-time Ohio weather. And I live don't live in south Florida. Pensacola gets relatively cold. But it still feels warm compared to NW Ohio.

You're assuming we think highly of Mili? :shake:

Nice comparison though. Mili vs. Lebron.

Is the Orlando Magic GM a bitter fan because of what he said about Lebron? LBJ isn't getting hammered from just Cleveland fans. I think that gets lost on these forums.
