to me the last year has shown me more about lebron than his choice will. he could have made a choice, either to stay or go, in a manner which was infinitely more mature, professional, and classier.... sometimes its not what you do but how you do it...Is that unusual?
LeBron has spent seven crafting an image that he's about more than basketball. He's spent seven years saying he's going to bring Cleveland a championship. He preaches loyalty and says how proud he is to be from Akron and NE Ohio (just watch the video pn cavs.com). If, after all of that, he bolts...damn right some people are going to be pissed. Deservedly so. Not just because he was basically a fraud, but because, for all intents and purposes, basketball in Cleveland is dead.
Now, because of how he's portrayed himself the past seven years, I chose to believe he will live up to all that crap and remain a Cav. Maybe I'm naive, but I like to think that a kid from NE Ohio can see past all the other crap and knows what he means to the people of that region. Him winning a title in Cleveland would do far more for his legacy than winning multiple in Chicago (where he's still not Jordan) or Miami (where it took him and another superstar joining DWade's team).
Tomorrow we'll find out who LeBron is. For better or worse.

NFBuck;1727733; said:Based on your posts in this thread, it's safe to assume if/when he announces he's staying in Cleveland you will not be a fan? Because it'll be pretty difficult to see you cheering them on in any future Cavs threads after the trail you and a couple others have left in this thread...
