Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

What has Broussard been right about so far? He was 85% LBJ to the Cavs yesterday AM. Now it's the letter? This whole thing wreaks of sensationalist journalists needing to keep the spotlight on them. By my calculation, LBJ's misstep during this process has been allowing it to drag on - maybe. If he is truly waiting for the Cavs to make the moves they may have promised, I can't even say that's a misstep. I didn't like "The Decision" 4 years ago, though I understood the decision. Now, until there is better understanding around what's actually happening, reacting to every professional guesser right now seems pointless.

Of course it's not the reason. But his camp will say that's the reason. That's the only way he comes out of this looking like the good guy, instead of the villain that turned his back on his hometown (which he claims to love) for the second time.

Remember his "hometown" is Akron, not Cleveland, he made that very clear... so he can truly never turn his back on his "hometown".

I'm still rooting for him to establish a team in Akron and/or convince Gilbert to move the Cavs to Akron.

The letter??? Now he is going to use the letter? Saw something posted on twitter and can't remember who said it, but said the Cavs thought the letter was a non-issue and are surprised by this news in the morning.

Cuz if the letter was going to be an issue, all LeBron had to do was SAY SOMETHING! ie have Rich Paul tell the Cavs it was an issue, cuz I am sure if they told him Dan would have a one hour special to appoligize for it.

So petty, LeBron... you are almost 30, grow up. You know the letter was written by a jilted lover and not really personal. That letter was in reaction to HOW you handled the decision in 2010.

Arrrrgh

I can't fault the manchild for anything up until he started dragging it out like this. I don't expect an announcement today. Definitely not this weekend. He craves this kind of attention, and he's going to bask in it as long as he can. You can bet he'll be on the internet all weekend revelling in the chaos he created. Meanwhile, marshmelo just stopped by the 7-Eleven to pick up another case of powdered donuts to drown his sorrow...

I will say, if he ever wants to be seen as a "hero" in his home state again, it's now or never. He doesn't "owe" Cleveland a damn thing, however, he and his posse allowed this groundswell of optimism to happen. If he spurns them after so many poor, lost souls bought into this bullshit, and it has been bullshit, it's over. The meltdown this time will make 2010 look like a tremor.
