Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

I'm now in full Cleveland fan mode with this. This whole thing is a set up to fuck with Cleveland fans (indirectly) and Dan Gilbert (directly). LeBron's people have given Cleveland fans just enough to go ape shit with this whole thing. LeBron didn't say anything giving him full deniability yet Cleveland fans (myself included) have gotten their hopes up beyond anything since Decision 1.0. The full intention of this whole thing was revenge on Dan Gilbert for sending out that letter four years ago. Once LeBron signs with another team his crew will be able to pin the whole thing on Dan Gilbert and the letter. LeBron just couldn't get past the public way that Dan Gilbert blasted him four years ago. This has been beautifully orchestrated by LeBron. Revenge is a dish best served cold and LeBron is getting his right now. Just another part of being a Cleveland sports fan.

Seriously, whatever quote LeBron had a few years ago about all of us having to still live our "day-to-day lives, with the same problems, while I get to keep being me" is so true. Hated him back then for saying it, but man he's right, there are some people making themselves miserable while he vacations, works a kids/High school camp in his name, and travels to Brazil for the World Cup.

Not me. I'm enjoying every second of this. I'm going to enjoy a massive meltdown either way, be it Cleveland or Miami fans. I'd like to see him back in Cleveland simply because he might be the only chance we have at winning a title in my lifetime. But, I think he's an enormous doucher, and I've said from the beginning any Cleveland fans getting their hopes up deserve every ounce of misery they feel when he doesn't "come home." You should know better than that...

Listening to Mike and Mike....(my first mistake), the keep saying the only thing holding LeBron back from Cleveland is "The Letter." Yet, yesterday on the The Big Show on 97.1, they kept saying that Gilbert and LeBron squashed that beef a long time ago.

That letter is going to end up biting Gilbert in the ass 4 years later. Why there was still a link to the letter on the Cavs website four years later is just stupid.
see the post above yours.... LeBron's a big boy and so is Gilbert... if he's using "The Letter" then he is looking for a way NOT to come back to Cleveland.

on a more laughable note... they said
He could sign a 2 year deal with Miami with an opt out after 1 to give himself more time to make sure Cleveland is making all the right moves

:slappy: if he doesn't sign with Cleveland now and commit long term, the Cavs should never resign him because if he does this 1 or 2 year BS like he did before, noone will WANT to come and play because they dont know if he will be there. Its the same reason Miami wont attract anyone of value.. its the same problem as when he was in Cleveland the first time. Other players want to know he's committed to be in 1 location long term.. which LeBron can't say now.

You fellas are forgetting... in a number of ways, LeBron is still a kid.. emotionally fragile
Ironically, we'd be in better shape if he ever had a girlfriend that dumped him
He'd understand how Gilbert felt.. because he too, like most of us,
probably would have done stupid shit and said stupid shit about the ex

If he doesn't come home now then he can't come home ever. Don't come in when your 35 to put on the jersey and say that your career has come full circle. Fuck that. He can pack his shit and move to Miami or wherever he wants but he can't be the Akron, Ohio kid anymore. He's fucking with everyone at this point.

Unfortunately, this is probably right.

Everybody buying this crap about Gilbert's letter need to stop. That is simply e!spn filling airtime becuase they, actually NOBODY, has anything. LeBron ain't talking, and I doubt his camp is either. If it bothers him that much, why even have your agent let them in the room? Also, there were reports earlier that he and Gilbert buried the hatchet at Z's retirement thing. It's just e!spn doing what e!spn does. It's not the reason LeBron won't sign with the Cavs.

He's more of a 5 year old trapped in a giant body. if he were born a girl he would have been awesome in "toddlers in tiaras". That being said, this go around most of the cause of drama is thanks to the Media and fan bases.

Completely disagree. He and his people have orchestrated this. The leaks have been very carefully released but LeBron is running the show. The drama is a result of the media reacting to what has been leaked. It's crazy. Go play in Miami and get prison raped by San Antonio again in the Finals.

Yeah right. Cleveland fans will be right here the next time his contract is up begging for him to come back....hanging on any hint of where he might be going, be it moving vans, website colors, or announcement time.

If a four year old letter written in a moment of anger is the only thing keeping LBJ from Cleveland, then he really does not have a lot of reasons to go back to Miami.

Of course it's not the reason. But his camp will say that's the reason. That's the only way he comes out of this looking like the good guy, instead of the villain that turned his back on his hometown (which he claims to love) for the second time.
