Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

Hate all you want, he's got two titles and they are lined up for a few more, Spurs are getting old, Lakers just suck now that Phil is gone, and the Celtics are aging as well, who's going to stop them? Would not be surprised to see them pull another big name in the off season.

To address the first part of your post, the Bulls will have Derrick Rose coming back next season, the Thunder aren't going anywhere, and the Pacers return their entire core after taking Miami to seven in the Eastern Conference finals. Yes, Miami will be the favorite heading into next season, but to act as though there are no teams that can legitimately challenge, and ultimately beat, them in a seven game series is misguided.

Secondly, unless they find a suitor for Chris Bosh, they aren't "pulling another big name" because their salary situation is [censored]ed right now.

The Heat need a make over.

I think this current group has reached their max potential as far as rings go. Wade is rapidly aging, and Bosh is becoming more of a fraud each day. Combine that with key players for the Heat getting really old really quick, like Battier, Haslam, Mike Miller, Ray Allen...

I dunno. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pat Riley retire after this title and just call it a career. I don't think he's going to want to figure out how to remake that roster.

I have not posted in any way about the whole Lebron thing until now but I want to point out a few things that most are just simply not willing to look at.

Lebron through his Cleveland years and the first year in Miami was a different player. He was a hell of a baller but that was about it. He was getting by on pure talent and the fact that the really good teams understood that regular season does not mean [Mark May]. Once the playoffs started the good teams knew how to deal with Lebron. His talent (and believe it or not, there was a bit of talent around him in Cleveland) did win some playoff series but could not get the ultimate goal of a championship.

Instead of taking a look in the mirror LBJ decided it was the team around him that was preventing him from getting that ring. He goes to Miami thinking it was going to the exact change he needed to walk to a title.. in fact not 1, not 2... blah blah. First year he found out that maybe it was indeed him that needed to change for him to win that title he coveted so much. The last 2 years LBJ has been a different player and person. The people he [censored]ed off with his immaturatey in the past are not willing to accept it but he has evolved his game and it has resulted in 2 championships. Would he have these 2 titles if he stayed in Cleveland and made these same changes? Hard to tell but he did carry these Miami teams to the titles.

Everyone wants to say he only won his titles because he teamed up with other great players (Wade and Bosh) but look at that decision right now. Bosh is not the player people made him out to be and Wade was a shell this season and especially this post season. It was LBJ and them the rest of the role players (sounds a lot like his time in Cleveland doesn't it?).

Personally, I say congrats LBJ for getting those titles you wanted. I don't view them as tainted titles but I don't put him in the same catagory as MJ, Bird, or Magic (or numerous other players). He is definately one of the best if not the best player on the planet right now. I honestly think we are in a new era of the sport that you are not going to see many stars stay in one place and build teams into championship teams.

I think if LBJ does come back to Cleveland (I don't see it happening but who knows) he should be welcomed back. He is not the same person or player he was when he left. When he left, he took his "talents to South Beach" but if he comes back we will see his new game and with what is in place now, I see Cleveland as an instant contender for the title and not just a playoff spot.

Mike, are you a Heat supporter just so you can [censored] off Cleveland fans?

No, I've been a fan of LeBron since he came into the league. Free agency killed team loyalty for me a long time ago in the NBA, so I just follow players. Once Webber left Sacramento, I started following James and Cleveland.

The only way I won't root for him is if he goes to the Lakers. Then he'll be as dead to me as he is to most of you.

Wrong. He's still the same, fame seeking, image concerned bitch he's always been. He is the same PERSON. However what has changed is, what you've pointed out - his game. A player.

I'm trying hard to picture in my mind a current line-up with LeBald at SF. I'm also having issues seeing his game mesh with Kyrie's. Especially in the late game, both of them might play tentatively and want the other to take the last shot.

the fact that irving plays pretty well off the ball for being a young point guard would mesh well with lebron, especially since lebron isn't as ball dominant as he once was. meshing with irving would be the least of any concerns.

If that ball doesn't bounce to Bosh in game 6, I wonder what all the "See! Lebron is clutch" guys would be saying.

And if David Tyree doesn't helmet catch etc. etc.

If LeBron doesn't absolutely put the team on his back in that 4th quarter it is all irrelevant. But he did.

Lebrick had to team up with the likes of Bosh and Wade to barley win 2. Like I said a few pages back, he owes Ray Allen a car or a house after saving him from himself.

Lame argument. I don't know of many guys who won championships who didn't also have excellent teammates. I guess the Bulls never benefited from Paxson hitting some late 3s either. Hilarious.

Because it came immediately after not 1, but 2 Lebitch turnovers then a fucking brick to follow.

This wasnt him being double teamed then kicking it out to an open shooter. Ray was damned lucky to get the ball, then put up a prayer that was answered.
