Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

I don't think it's any secret that Miami will be a dumpster fire of a team after the 2013-2014 season. The way that their contracts are staggered is ridiculous for a variety of reasons. No way Miller, Haslem, Allen, Birdman, Battier, or Wade even suit up for the 2014-2015 season. And with LeBron's tendency to be a complete and utter pussy, my money is that he goes elsewhere as well. I'm loving it since I can't stand the Heat, but it's obvious that there is no real long-term plan in place. Pretty embarrassing for the "evil empire" of the NBA.

Edit: Oh, and I was talking to a season-ticket holder and The Heat are completely broke going forward. So there's also that...
It's pretty clear they were buying into the notion that signing the three biggest FA's of 2010 was an easy ticket to multiple titles...without consideration to team structure or how their skills complemented eachother...or even potential injuries/physical wear and tear. I'm not gonna totally write them off yet, but it would be hilarious to watch this bull[Mark May] blow up in their faces in spectacular fashion. And make no mistake, if they don't win it this year, their window is all but closed. Not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7...what an asshat.

In 2 years this franchise will be begging for Rony Seikaly back at center. They are going to blow this fucker up so hard that the Miami Marlins will look like they have the attendance of the Ohio State football team by comparison. From the looks of it they will go, seemingly overnight, from favored to win every title to one of the worst teams in the history of the NBA, all in one offseason.

you're talking about a team that tanked hard and deliberately dumped everyone worthwhile from a title squad, in Wade's prime, to clear the decks for this trio of ass monkeys. miami dumped everyone over the course of 2+ seasons once these guys decided to team up at the olympics in 2008.

Well, if the Spurs take care of business he'll probably end up being right, they got 1.

I don't know if the trio will last the offseason if they don't win it this year.

Spurs on the brink of eliminating the Heat. Manu in the starting lineup last night destroyed Miami. And good lord, Jeff Green? Where the hell did he come from. 25+ 3 pointers setting a Finals record, and there's still at least 1 more game left, probably 2.

The guy in Boston? I didn't realize they were still playing... or you talking about Danny Green a guy who could shoot the lights out in college that the Cavs (:smash:) and Spurs gave up on multiple times.?

to be fair, danny green, by his own admission, never took the game seriously and was on the brink of being out of the league entirely before he, roy williams, and pop had a long come to jesus talk. i guess if he was never going to do this with the cavs this is the next best thing.

Cryami will win it. On their home floor. Darth Stern is the puppet master, and this was always going seven games.

david stern is an evil little troll, but he's not totally stupid. I have little doubt that SA will get the Scott Foster treatment tomorrow night. But, when this goes 7, the thursday night ratings will be quite large, and stern won't want an obvious officiating tank job to dictate the headlines thereafter.

It's great pub and a great story for the NBA no matter who wins. But they don't want shitty officiating dominating the news, especially if there is a butcher job tomorrow night.
