Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

You honestly think he'd be that much less hated if he left but didn't do "the decision" As bad as the announcement was, I think it just gives people an excuse to hate on him for leaving. The real reason people are mad is because he left. If he were a lesser talent and did not have the same ohio ties, I doubt anyone would have cared if he made a 2hr presentation with promos announcing he was leaving.

I get it. I'm an ohio guy, but come on. Give the guy a break. And to the person that said he quit on the cavs, Lebron literally carried that team the years he was here. No one did more for Cleveland basketball than Lebron did.
Christ.

Here is why I don't like him all that much.. in 2008, according to Bosh, they all decided to make this move when their contracts were up. Right then & there, the CAVs could have made a trade to get what they could and cut bait. Instead, the franchise was strung out until he announced it live on TV.. ESPN of all places to boot.

To all the people who claim "Cleveland couldn't put players around him" - who the fuck do you think was calling the shots? I'd put all my savings on LeBron decided who coached him and what players to target in FA.

The dudes a bitch. He was a bitch in HS when Drew Lavender worked him in the Schott, he was a bitch in Game 5 against Boston, he was a bitch last year in Miami, and he's a bitch today after winning a ring surrounded by Bosh & D Wade..

In my, IMO.

Did we do something to florida in the past to deserve such punishment from their sports teams?

The scoreboard isn't as lopsided as you would think...

The reason they couldn't get players in Cleveland was LeBron. He never, ever fully committed to the team because he knew when he signed his second contract that it was his last in Cleveland...

the irony of it is that the guys they surrounded him with in cleveland were perfectly suited to compliment the type of game that lebron is playing right now, and the type they begged him to play in cleveland instead of LeIso dribbling for 20 seconds each possession.

Since you're clearly set on arguing both sides, perhaps you could do us a favor and play mediator between your personalities.

Lebron choose a florida team over an ohio team and went out an won a title there. Did we do something to florida in the past to deserve such punishment from their sports teams?

just find it funny how so many people have such strong feelings of hatred over a basketball player. Lebron has never come across as a mean spirited person to me. I wish he would have won a title in ohio, but I wish everyone here that's throwing stones at him would have their personal decisions scrutinized in front of the world like Lebron has.

True, but those same people have to consider what he did for Cleveland the whole time he was there. Cleveland wouldn't have been playing boston if it weren't for Lebron.

Was it that he quit or that he hadn't yet learned how to be a closer and lead a team? Even last year, you can argue he "quit" against the Mavs. He's grown a lot emotionally and in his game this postseason and it showed as he led the heat to a title.

Sorry to rain on everyone's hate parade, but, like I said, I wish he would have won in Ohio, also.

you've got it wrong. Crying is bashing the guy after he wins the title, years after leaving cleveland. Crying is still holding strong, negative feelings about the guy. Crying is not pointing out how childish and immature a lot of the hatred he receives is.

Answer this, if you think what I said was bs, do you honestly think if Lebron wasn't as big of a player and as focal a point to cleveland as he was that people would care so much about the "decision" ? Most people wouldn't have tuned in.

I LOLd when Cowturd talked today aboutLeBron shutting Rose down.. wtf?

If commissar Stearn had made sure that the games were called the way the finals were, maybe LeBron could have pulled it off. My hunch though is that having one of the "chosen" markets (and the number one selling nba jersey in the world) beat LeBron would not have been as tragic in Stearn's eyes as the smallest market in the league doing it.

Never been mean spirited perhaps...but douchiest self entitled crybaby hypocrite bitch? Absolutely.

He embodies what is wrong with America's youth today IMO and I am part of America's youth. If I behaved like any of those cHeat clowns my parents would have straight up BEAT MY ASS SENSELESS and then told me to rub some fucking dirt on it and walk it off.

FUCK. ALL. OF. THIS.

I look at it this way...

Consider what Cleveland did for LeBron. He's a fucking basketball player. That's it. And he makes millions of dollars to do so because fans (like the ones in Cleveland) PAY HIM. Without the fans he isn't nothing but another dumb ignorant son of a bitch getting kicked in the teeth by the real world.

Not at all a fan of the man's character or past decisions...but he was flat-out amazing this year.

I don't like that he has a ring, but he earned it.

The Miami role players were more important than the 'Big 3'

Lebron did what great players do...he made his supporting cast better.
