Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

The Jordan/Pippen comparisons don't fit IMO, although they are fun to play with. The real sports comparison is Jeter/A-Rod.

DWade is the career franchise player with the polished image that has already won a title without the other guy; beloved by the hometown team and has the leadership qualities of a champion (Jeter). Lebron is the more-talented, image-consious-but-image-damaged star without the leadership qualities; jumps from city to city looking for a title; never to be fully embraced by the city. (A-Rod)

Now if we can just get Lebron to illegally slap the ball out of Paula Pierce's hands on a sidelines out of bounds play in Game 7 of the Eastern Conf. Finals, then the comparison would be complete.

Isnt this the type of shit the Jersey Shore cast does to make money??? "Party with Snookie at club poo butt" "Party with the King at club look at me"

ya its ridiculous...i remember him doing the same thing at a club down here in columbus before the team played a exhibition game years ago...basically it was a "party with lebron" type of advertisement, and the club escapes me (edit: found this
Cleveland Cavs All Star Celebrity Party: hosted by Lebron James

Columbus, OH 43215

When: Tuesday Oct. 20, 2009

but i guess Lebron was basically in a roped off area far away from everyone and he just sat in a chair and nodded his head to music...then he left after 2 hours...i forget what everyone paid to get in but i know it was cheap...at least snookie has boobs

The Lakers and Celtics tussled all the way to the end of Game 7, but afterward, the most memorable moment was not a Kobe Bryant shot or Kevin Garnett rebound. It was Ron Artest thanking his shrink. Alas, Ron-Ron's shrink apparently does not work with LeBron James; if so, they could have done some heavy narcissism therapy and saved us all from "The Decision," which was, to put it mildly, the worst idea in the history of the universe.

I still think "Legends and Leaders" was a worse idea than "The Decision"

Its close, but the Big Ten still has an opportunity to fix that mistake. Mrs. James-Wade (I think he's earned the right to use his maiden name) still refuses to acknowledge his error or apologize for it.

I actually agree that contraction would help the NBA, but he probably isn't the best person to be talking about it...
As do I (and by contraction, I mean the entire league), but he's hardly the person that should be talking about it...unless he's finally realized that he's never gonna be a "good guy" again and is embracing being the villain.

Lets just get rid of the salary cap and the draft. Just let players sign with the team they want to play for out of HS or college.

to piggy back....your city's population must be greater than 5 million people to have a team.... fuck the nba and the bullshit that it has become... i hope it folds, and takes the AAU with it.
