Prepare yourselves. For now, I summon...the end!

OK.
Not in the slightest. It actually makes me more angry. Don't piss on our state one day and love it the next. He doesn't have a "fondness" for Ohio State like we do. He likes the team because they win, much like he grew up a fan of the Cowboys, Bulls and Yankees. Fuck that. I wish he would also take his bandwagon jumping to South Beach.
I will concede because I see where your are coming from BUT I do understand loyalty and business. I understand the two are not
synonymous. James decision was business but not a smart business decision.
Know this though: I will have the satisfaction of watching the Heat win (if they win any championships) but the Heat is D-Wade's team NOT Lebron's team. For all Lebron's talent he will be mentioned with the likes of James Worthy, Kevin McHale and Scottie Pippen. Great players? yes, but in the shadow of Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Michael Jordan and probably D-Wade. For James decision, he will NEVER be spoken in the same breath as the TRUE greats as if he would have stayed in Cleveland and WON a championship there.
Lebron James proved one thing; HE IS NOT A LEADER! At least not yet, he is only 25 years old and has a life ahead of him. The probability of LBJ falling into the bottomless pit of excess that is South Florida is a very real possibility. I lived there for three years and I know this.
I make a daily attempt to do that and I fail. If you haven't followed the Cavaliers for more than 7 years or if you haven't followed them at all, I wouldn't expect you to understand.
I have followed ALL the Ohio teams to varying degrees since I was able to dating back to the late '60s. I'm a diehard Reds fan since the days of the Big Red Machine to the present. I have always have been sentimental about the Indians and pushed for them to win because they are an Ohio team.
I have been a diehard Browns fan before the Dawg Pound ever existed and remember the day that Modell moved the team to Baltimore only to win a Super Bowl not soon after (IMO, this event was worse than Lebron leaving).
I always followed the Cavs for as long as I can remember. I remember Jordan's winning shot over Ehlo (not in highlights, I saw it when it happened), the days of Mark Price, Brad D, Larry Nance and many others. So I do understand. I am a son of Ohio and remember my roots very well. I will always be a Ohio Sports fan because IMO I think we have some of the best and most loyal sports fans in the world. Not too many sports fan populations can boast the knowledge we have about our teams.
So yes I do understand. I do not put the success of any one team in Ohio on ONE player. Especially and including the Cavs. I have a good feel of what they Cavs need to do post-Lebron era to become a contender again but I do not see Gilbert burning up my cell for advice. So I accept what I can't control and that is the Cavs future without Lebron. So I have two choices get mad or get over it and I choose to get over it and move on.
Hang in there brother, things will get better.
