As the 2022-23 college sports season comes to an end in June, Ohio State athletics secured a third-place finish in the Directors' Cup.

The National Association of College Directors of Athletics announced Tuesday that Ohio State's 1,210.75 points, accumulated from the postseason success of its athletic programs that competed at their respective NCAA championships this year, positioned the Buckeyes third behind Stanford and Texas but ahead of USC, Georgia and Michigan in the Directors' Cup standings.

LEARFIELD DIRECTORS' CUP STANDINGS

It also marks the ninth time the Buckeyes have finished as the No. 1 school in the Big Ten, including eight times since Gene Smith became Ohio State's athletic director in 2005.

I didn't think Texas could catch us. I was wrong. Halfway decent runs by men's basketball and lacrosse, and we would have won the damn thing. The biggest issue is Fall though. We dominate Winter and are competitive in Spring. In the Fall though we don't score a damned thing other than what football brings home.
