On Monday, representatives from the East-West Shrine Bowl named Chambers the Shrine Bowl Defensive Breakout Player of the Week after he collected eight tackles (four solo), one tackle for loss, one pass breakup and one interception in the Buckeyes' 63-10 win over the Hilltoppers on Saturday.
Chambers' eight tackles ranked second on the team behind fellow linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, who recorded 10 tackles (nine solo) in Ohio State's 53-point blowout victory. Chambers also accompanied Tyleik Williams, Jack Sawyer, Mitchell Melton, Lathan Ransom, Jaden McKenzie, Denzel Burke and Omari Abor as one of eight Buckeyes to record a tackle for loss, and he was one of two Buckeyes along with Jermaine Mathews Jr. to record an interception.
