official jersey?
what makes them official? the cheap nike symbol.. and the thin screen print? these are the new style jersey without the grey stripe and are just as nice as any i've seen. I'm not denying the authentic field jerseys they are nice but considering no one else is going to carry a Homan or Wells jerseys in their young buckeyes carreer.. its good enough for me.
Go bucks!!
you can order custom numbers with the cheap nike symbol.. before the season we thought about getting these jerseys for games: #3, #28, #87, and #11. Also walking down lane i saw a homan authentic, a real authentic, with his name stitched in the back, im assuming it was his mom or a female relative

has to be family... they can't sell jerseys with the names of current players...

some more time in that weight room?????? he cant put on any more or he will be to slow. he already lifts more than A.J. Hawk! bench around 450lbs. he is the biggest and strongest LB we have already

I am not in anyway saying he is weak, but when tackling he is catching at times, and a lot of that has to do with lower body strength.

If you watch AJ he would pull people down with one arm and would drive through his man. Ross ends up on the ground some times when making tackles, giving the ball carrier an extra 2 yards. Honestly Freeman and Laurn. give ground while tackling too.

Not ripping on Ross, just saying what he will improve on with time.

I'm not exactly grad21 when it comes to breaking down tackling technique, but I will say this: OSU has played 3 of the 5 best running backs we'll see all year in the past 2 weeks. We have a week to build confidence before facing Tony Hunt (who isn't in the aforementioned 5), and after him I believe we'll be ready for Albert Young (who IS).

By the time Mike Hart steps up to the plate, we'll be "throwing fastballs" if you know what I mean.

CB40 is right about the tackling technique, though.
Homan, among others, is leaving his feet when tackling, and losing all his leverage in the process.
Way too many missed tackles Sat night. I thought the main problem was the very poor footing against NIU, but the footing was fine in Austin, and we still missed a bunch.

Agreed, about the talent we played against, but you still have to deliver the blow, seems to be tackling a little high and moving backwards some, meaning he is being pushed back on initial contact from lineman. Once they fill the hole and come full go we will be seeing things change.

Hmmm. That is another discussion...lower body strength is important but certainly not the main factor in explosive or solid tackling. Timing, leverage, angle, and "uncoiled" power are more important.

That is why you are seeing S&C routines moving away from historical core lifts such as bench press and regular squat. Variations of clean movements and other "explosive" lifts are now the trend...
