Something wrong with that report unless Wilson is changing numbers.

I'm too computer stupid to post pictures, but Jim Laughlin wore #5 here in the late 70's. As an outside LB he will forever be remembered for his blocked punt late in the Michigan game in 1979 that was returned for a TD by Todd Bell to preserve the Buckeyes perfect regular season under first year Head Coach Earle Bruce. Hard to believe its been 35 years, because I can still see that great play like it happened yesterday.

Peace

By the way, if you've never seen it or would like to enjoy it again, it's on Youtube.

Ah, and the riot on High Street ensued. I remember it like is was yesterday. Even the cops starting smiling when the "#$@% Iran" chant started.

Edited for language. Forgot this was the thread of a Buckeye for a second.

Just a sidenote for our younger members here. Jim Laughlin was much more than "the guy" who blocked that punt. He was a Captain and team voted MVP of that great 1979 team that fell one point short of winning the National Championship.

So jaked to see what Raekwan is going to bring to this program. Hopefully, he'll make an impact in jersey #5 that will have my grandchildren talking about 35 years from now!

Peace
