What makes me the most angry is that he’s been paying his own way and coach Day said he didn’t know what would happen with him if the waiver is denied. He made it sound as if he would go back to Cali if he wasn’t approved.

If I was in the position to do so, I’d give him a NIL deal to ensure he could still pay his own way.

We have an open scholly I don't know why they wouldn't give it to him...

Honestly everything feels like kid might have stopped going to school once he put himself in portal? Do we know if he kept going to class at USC the whole time or dropped out?

It's an academic eligibility matter, I believe. We cannot give a scholarship to someone not academically eligible.
