LB Marcus Freeman (HC Notre Dame, Constant Backtracker)

I would guess Freeman believes he's leaving a lot of money on the table if he leaves this year.

He wa smost likely a 3rd round pick according to the NFL Draft Feedback committee and knows he can improve his stock with a great senior season.

Good luck to Marcus and all of teh returning juniors.

That really sucks to hear he has to get off-season surgery.. but it seems like every player has to get some type of minor surgery in the off-season. Don't forget about Homan/Rolle/and Gibson as well they'll get more PT.

I don't really see it as such a bad thing--that few weeks of lost practice won't really hurt in the long run, but as you and other have pointed out, it will be nice for some other guys to get looked at.

Freeman on the mend opens opportunity......Freeman had surgery recently and it may give Sabino and Sweet opportunities to show what they can do.

Freeman will be back and not miss a snap. Homan is also back and ready to go.

SLB: Terry or Homan / Gibson
MLB: JL / Spitler
WLB: Freeman / Homan or Rolle

Sabino and Sweet SP Teams maybe.

If Marcus Freeman had a dollar for every time someone asked him why he chose to postpone entering the NFL and stay at Ohio State one more season he would never need the money playing football will someday bring him. It may be a question that he'll get tired of hearing soon, but it is not a hard one for him to answer. There is no doubt in Freeman?s mind that Ohio State is where the senior linebacker wanted to be in the upcoming year as a result of the bond he has formed with this university and his team.

?It is all about the tradition at Ohio State, the atmosphere in Columbus and the friendships I have made,? Freeman said. ?I wanted to experience that for one more year. It is something you do not get in the NFL.?
