Junior linebacker Joshua Perry (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy), who committed to Ohio State in late June, is set to return to action this weekend.
After an outstanding performance at the Buckeyes' 2-Day Position Camp for rising sophomores and juniors in late June, Perry landed a scholarship offer from Ohio State. He committed to the Buckeyes a couple days later.
The 6-foot-3 and 220-pound Perry sustained a concussion and has missed the last couple of games. However, Perry has been cleared to play and will be back in action on Friday night as the Braves travel to Westerville Central.
On the other side of the line of scrimmage from Perry will be Buckeye senior tight end commitment Nick Vannett.

Fisher (6-0, 197) has rushed for more than 700 yards in the first seven games. Central is also led by senior Spencer Allen (5-9, 170) at quarterback, senior Yosef Amha (5-9, 170), senior Jalen Jones (5-11, 165), senior Dillon Seckman (5-11, 150) and junior Max Shawver (6-0, 178) at wide receiver, and senior Nick Vannett (6-6, 240), an Ohio State recruit, at tight end.
Olentangy linebacker Joshua Perry, an Ohio State recruit, will play Friday after missing most of the last three games with a concussion. Linebackers Chris Binkley (5-10, 197) and Garrett Schmidt (6-3, 227), defensive tackle Tyler Foy (6-2, 240) and defensive backs Caleb Hetterscheidt (6-0, 167), Lew Staum (6-3, 200) and Bryce Cheek (6-0, 178), an Akron recruit, also lead the defense.
The backfield combination of Greathouse and Joshua Perry proved too much for the Warhawks. Greathouse finished with 85 yards on 23 carries and Perry totaled 89 yards on 20 carries to pace Olentangy, whose 345 total yards included 265 on the ground.

Olentangy also got strong performances from running backs Joshua Perry (106 yards on 10 carries) and William Greathouse (117 yards on 13 carries), and six Olentangy players scored touchdowns.
"It doesn't register with me," said linebacker Josh Perry, an ESPNU 150 Watch list member out of Olentangy High School in Galena, Ohio. "They have a great coaching staff, and that's all that really matters."
Perry, a junior committed to Ohio State since June 2010, and Ball plan to attend the Buckeyes' spring game Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
