Let's hope we get some healthy (Williams) and more experienced (Miller) LEOs on the field next year so Mr. Simon can stop spying in space and resume disrupting the backfield on every play.
Amen.

And let's hope Big Hank comes back, so the other team can't double team Simon every single play without suffering the consequences.

Kinda hard to pick captains when the two biggest ones were the reason your team was in shambles. That changes next year. I doubt Fickell skips it if Boom & Posey (both great leaders) were fully eligible last fall.

You give it to simon on heart alone.

Simon, Hankins, Williams, Bennett, Washington, Spence, Pittman, the FSU commit fast defensive end and these guys will flat out get after the qb! One of the best dlines in the country should help mask the lbs until Shazier and Grant develop..

Not to mention you're leaving 2 returning starters off of your list...

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State junior defensive lineman John Simon has been named a third-team Associated Press All-American, the news service announced Wednesday.
Simon, a first-team all-Big Ten Conference selection by the conference head coaches, leads the Buckeyes with seven quarterback sacks and 15 tackles for loss (for minus-58 yards), figures that rank tied for second and sixth, respectively, in the Big Ten.
The Youngstown, Ohio, native (Cardinal Mooney) and 2010 honorable mention all-Big Ten selection recorded 50 tackles this season for the Buckeyes to rank sixth on the team. He also broke up three passes while starting all 12 contests. He was named Big Ten player of the week after a nine-tackle (and four TFL) game against Illinois.
Simon, who was a semifinalist this year for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, enters the 2012 TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl with 27 career TFLs and 11.5 career sacks.

Focus, focus

No Ohio State player talks the company line more consistently than junior defensive lineman John Simon. One of four season captains named after the Michigan game, he was asked whether he has considered declaring for the NFL draft, especially since the Buckeyes won’t be allowed to play in the postseason in 2012.

“I’m talking about the bowl game right now, that’s all. I’m focused on this game,” Simon said.

But he did confirm he hasn’t even requested an evaluation from NFL officials of his draft potential — usually a prerequisite for any underclassmen wishing to make the jump.
