I think he'd make an ideal "walk out linebacker".
But, that being said. The depth at running back isn't great.
Dunn can't seem to get going.
And Ball is just too injury prone to make an impact.
So. You got Zeke who will be a Junior and the sophomore, Samuel.
If Weber should decide to stay in Michigan, we would need another guy at RB.

Dare I say Damien Harris? He seemed surprised by the Weber commit.

Only problem is that Harris is committing soon. So it would be a case of needing to flip him if Weber were to flip. And I don't see that happening. Technically we're in on his final 3 that he's choosing from, but most think UK or Bama. But if he did somehow committ to OSU, most likely Weber would flip. Just don't see it happening that way though.

I think he is a LB all the way and is seen that way by the coaches, especially considering they called it a day at LB when he committed and stopped going after Kilby-Lane/Jefferson cold turkey. He can play RB if need-be (we somehow end up without a RB in this class and/or injuries and attrition at RB). Also, the depth at LB seems good now but is also prone to becoming thin with Hubbard moving to DE, T. Johnson always hurt, Berger possibly not recovering, and Perry entering his senior season. Plus I think at least one of Connor/Hilliard will be destined for MIKE.

Just the way I see it but in any event, his versatility is certainly advantageous and I am glad he saw the light.

How can we see a problem at Baker, IMO there'd have to be a large number of injuries before we would see him play defense. EzE, Samuel already have the 2 deep, and Dunn and Ball are as well. But everyone keeps forgetting that a number of H backs can play RB as well, Parris Campbell, Dontre Wilson, Noah Brown, Jalin Marshall can all play RB to provide depth and get carries. I see Baker staying at LB as well, and has a higher ceiling there. And in an offense that uses quick screens the same way as hand offs I don't see the same importance in the use of RBs. LBs will be needed much more with the health issues of a number of them, and I'd like to see Baker as a LB similar to Lee that can blitz and lay the wood but still play in space which is needed against so many spread oriented teams
