LB Freddie Lenix (Cincinnati signee; transfer to Notre Dame College)

FWIW Nevada just posted that he has heard nothing that would make him think that he isn't OSU bound. I told him about Grads post about the UC trip.

Then why the Cinci trip???.....I dunno either, just passing along info.

If he is making grades now, then it proves that he can do college work. I do not see how he would not get through admissions if he has already proved he is passing.

another tidbit in today's dispatch....

The future is uncertain for one member of the 2005 class. Cleveland Glenville linebacker Freddie Lenix signed last spring but did not enroll. He attended class in the fall at Cuyahoga Community College and hoped to start at OSU in January.

Lenix was unavailable for comment, and his high school coach, Ted Ginn, was unsure of his progress.

"His plans haven’t changed," Ginn said. "I don’t know if Ohio State’s plans have changed."

OSU coaches cannot comment on Lenix because he has not enrolled.

It is confirmed...not sure when a link will be made available but it is a done deal.

Best of luck at Cincy Freddie.

Edit: Nevada just posted a thread on the BN$ board. He is the 4th insider to confirm.
:frown2::sad2:

good luck freddy. glad you can stay near your kid.

oneshot, it's not that confusing. freddie didn't make osu standards the first time around, and the same thing has happened again. wish it would have worked at OSU, but the best we can do is wish him well.

Not trying to be disrespectful to Freddie, but just how hard is it to qualify for Ohio State? I'm not the sharpest tool in the bag, but I'd bet my house that I'd have no problem qualifying academically...

A college degree is not the norm in American Society. Taken from the 2000 census:
  • 21% of Americans had taken some college courses but had not earned a degree in 2000, compared with 18.7% 10 years earlier.
  • 15.5% had earned a bachelor's degree but no higher, compared with 13.1% in 1990.
  • 8.9% earned graduate or professional degrees, compared with 7.2% earlier.
That's 24.4% of Americans (app. 1 in 4 high school grads). On top of that, tOSU is a damn good school, which means that there is a very small population of Americans are qualified to get into tOSU.

Edited to change the year from 200 to 2000...
