LB Freddie Lenix (Cincinnati signee; transfer to Notre Dame College)

Yertle said:
Thanks. Obviously, this is unfortunate. I was probably looking forward to Lenix playing more than anyone else in the class. With his speed and size, he could be a HUGE HITTING safety (a la Doss) or a lightning fast OLB (kind of like a faster Joe Cooper). One things for sure, he's going to be a monster on Special Teams.

It always seems like these kids put on 20 pounds when they get into a S&C program like tOSU's. A 230 pound OLB who can run 100 meters in less than 11 seconds??? WTF!
or a 230 pound safety, a la Sean Taylor... whoa!

I guess that would work too!

How about we create a new position. Like Safebacker, or Linety, or I'm-Gonna-Knock-Your-Head-Off-Because-I'm-A-Frigging-Defensive-Stud. Anyone of those three would work.

Lenix is enrolled at Cuyahoga Community College, if he takes care of business he will enroll at OSU in January. He has a B- average through the first quarter.
Great for him. Keep it up Freddie and we will see you next Spring.

Does anyone know if he can attend games as a guest of a player or does he have to buy a ticket?

Found this on BN$ from Sehs95

Freddie is in some trouble...but this is stupid and overblown

Lenix charged:

Freddie Lenix, the former Glenville High School football and track star, got a night in jail for celebrating his son's second birthday without permission.
Medina police issued a warrant for Lenix's arrest after Mylana C. Malone called 911 and told them that Lenix had taken his namesake from her Medina home Monday afternoon without her permission. Malone has custody of Lenix's son.
Lenix surrendered Tuesday afternoon, spent a night in the Medina County Jail and was released Wednesday morning after making a televised court appearance in Medina County Municipal Court. He is free on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and was ordered to appear Oct. 14 for arraignment on a misdemeanor charge of "interference with custody."
In February, Lenix, 19, signed a letter of intent to play football at Ohio State this fall. However, he was not admitted to the school and planned to enroll in winter quarter in January. Lenix did not return a call seeking comment.

Freddie Lenix Arrested

Don't know if anyone reported this here or not, I looked around and didn't see anything. Anyway, in today's Cleveland Plain Dealer it was reported that Freddie was arrested yesterday for "Interfering With Custody." Freddie allegedly went to the home of the mother of his son who turned 2 yesterday and took him without the mothers permission. Not alot of details but one would assume that not much will come of it. He basically just went and took his son to spend time with him on his birthday. However, I'm sure that somebody out there is ready to turn him nto a kidnapper. In all honesty, Freddie probably didn't even know this was a "crime."

Good luck Freddie, and happy birthday to the little guy. This too shall pass. Now hurry up and get your butt to TOSU.

I was going to be pissed off, but this is one of those things that is personal and most of us don't know the circumstances of what is going on in his situation. So I can't pass any kind of judgement either way.

look this is one of those things that i unfortunately know too much about. My dad was aressted 2 times for the same thing because my mom was a untrusting woman. My dad would come pick me up and because my dad would be early or what ever my mom would have him arrested for seeing me outside of his designated hours. I feel bad for Fredie because that is is his Kid and he has to play by her rules or else. Not nice, at all. Don't think less of him for this. This is just a bad experience for him.

I don't know the circumstances, but three words do come to mind:

Parent alienation syndrome

If he's wrong, then I hope he learns from this. If he's being kept from his child unreasonably, then I hope he finds a way past that and is able to parent his child. Children do best when both parents are able to be parents, even if the parents are no longer together.

The evil that is our custody system causes most of these issues.

What Freddie did was wrong. No denying that. But I'd be willing to bet that all he wanted was few minutes with his kid on his birthday so he could share in it and the bitch refused simply because she can.

And people wonder why women end up at the bottom of lakes. bitches.

Christ.. A man arrested for seeing HIS own kid. WTF!!!! My god shit like this pisses me off to no end. Good for you Freddie to be there for your kid unlike a lot of 19 year old assholes who do not take the time at all to see their kids.

The poster above who talked about the court syatem causing the issues I agree 100%. I am serious people do not realize the harsh discrimination that men have when it comes to familyt court. They have no legal choice if the woman keeps the baby or doesn't. Has to be court ordered to see his own kid in which the norm is every other weekend which is just plain Bull Shit. Sorry bad place to Rant. Freddie, good for you to be there for your kid!!
