LB Freddie Lenix (Cincinnati signee; transfer to Notre Dame College)

I can't imagine taking Daniels over Lenix. Not only is Lenix a gamechanger, but Daniels seemed like he did not want to be a buckeye (which is fine).

Lenix was a leader on a great defense, and should have a good shot at making an impact at multiple positions.

(summer 03) The Glenville team of Roland Sweet, Daven Jones, Freddie Lenix and Theodore Ginn...got the afternoon off on the right foot with a national record time of 1:28.95 in Boys 800m Sprint Relay.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. I am so siked he is finally a member of the Scarlett and Gray, I couldn't be anymroe happier for the kid as well. He got his grades up and, becuase the offer was made official, I assume it is becuase he fully qualified. Anyways, I cannot wait to see him invoke terror into opposing offenses!!!

Go Freddie!!! Go Buckeyes!!!

Is Freddie really only 6'0"? or is Teddy not really 6'0"?? From the photo above, Freddie looks a lot taller than Teddy.

We asked Boone who his toughest competition was at the high school level.

“Definitely Freddie Lenix,” said Boone. “That dude really packs a punch. I think Freddie is at Ohio State this weekend on his official visit. Hopefully he’ll be my teammate next year.”

That's from Alex Boone. I'm pumped about Freddie wearing the S&G next year.

Anyone have any info on how he is qualifying wise?

I'm pumped that Freddie is finally an offical Buckeye. I get a Cie Grant feeling from him, good speed, power and versatile. He seems to be a hell of an athlete. I feel that just a year ago this time Freddie was one of the top 5 names out there on the Buckeye wish list (non offical list). So I'm real glad to see the pieces fall in place.

You'd have to wonder if we pulled an Iowa, they would work Ginn into th ebackfield. Not as a 25 carry back, but someone who could definitely handle some carries (moreso in the 7-12 carry range).
