LB Etienne Sabino (official thread)

Larimore serves that purpose pretty well.

As for 'Bino, he's a Mike and he has a good chance at being an All-American at that position in my opinion.

Sabino could honestly be AA at all 3 LB positions with his athleticism IMO.
And won't Hale and Bennett fill that NT position as well once they get here?

I like the kid, but maybe we should let him win a starting job first before we make him a AA!! Hope this works out for him, but with the LB's we have not so sure.

More than one person feels this way, and a couple have stated as much (regarding AA opportunitites for 'bino). No one has annointed him with the pudding's proof still not available.

That is insane athletic ability, but it seems you're listing a 2011 lineup since you include Sweat and Johnson. And if its a 2011 lineup, It should look like this:

SSDE: Fellows
DT Floppy: Hankins
DT Apache Force: Simon
LEO/Viper: Williams

Will: Bell
Mike: Sabino
Sam: Sweat

Jenkins Division CB: Howard/C Brown
S: O Johnson
S: Barnett
Winfield Division CB: Bryant

Star: Moeller(granted 6 year for Med RS)

I know the hype of this kid and hope it works out. But the fact is some 5 star guys don't work out. I think he will be our SLB next year, if so he will only get about 40 to 50% of the D snaps.

love the "Jenkins Divisoin" and "Winfield Division" reference.

I think assuming Sabino, Bell, and Sweat will man the LB positions is underestimating the abilities of Storm Klien. I can't see a scenario where Storm does not see the field after Homan and Rolle move on to Sunday's. JMO.

I agree. I think Sweat will move to WILL. Sabino will go back to where he's practiced the longest which is SAM, and Klein takes over in the middle. I tend to think the battle will be more between Bell an Sabino for that third spot. I think Klein is set in the middle for next season and Sweat will play either WILL or SAM based on which one of Bell or Sabino is most impressive at their respective positions.

Not sure I could see Sweat at MLB next year, but it could be WLB. I agree with Sabino at SLB. So then the other spot will go to Bell or Klein.

Steve Miller, Kenny Hayes, Chris Wormley, Greg McMullen, Se'Von Pittman, and Adolphus Washington say no.

Those players will be true freshmen or seniors in high school next season, while Sabino would be entering his 4th year. IMHO Sabino may be asked to move to the line if he isn't getting any better at LB.
