I noticed that after Coleman's pick 6 on Saturday, Storm Klein was sent in to cover the Mike spot while Rolle caught his breath. We ended up calling time out, but I'd say it's worth something to see a true freshman out there as the first off the bench in the middle.

Klein is on the depth chart as the backup MLB. Sabino is the backup SAM, which is why he didn't get in. Plus I'd imagine that that was a rushed coaching decision, as knowing that guys are winded doesn't come until late in the play calling time.

Also, let's keep in mind that since Sabino plays the SAM, he would get less reps as a backup than even Sweat would at WILL. SAM is usually the linebacker that comes off the field in the nickel package...and we are in nickel a majority of the time because of the teams we play against. Thus there are not as many reps for SAM's as there are for WILL's. This also explains why Spitler is behind Rolle and Homan by such a wide gap in tackles.

- Heacock said the light appears to be coming on for sophomore LB Etienne Sabino in recent weeks. He's been guilty of thinking too much and not just playing, but over the past few weeks, Heacock said he's seen much improvement. With Andrew Sweat sidelined with a knee injury, Sabino may move into the fourth LB role, or the first LB off the bench after Brian Rolle, Ross Homan and Austin Spitler.
