Darron Lee becomes No. 13 for Ohio State

New Albany (Ohio) athlete Darron Lee is a jack of all trades player who has seen his recruitment take off the past few months but there was always one offer he always wanted. After impressing Ohio State coaches at their summer camp, Lee ended up earning the coveted offer from the Buckeyes on Tuesday and promptly committed.
"I have committed to Ohio State," Lee told Scout. "I got the offer a short while ago, when I spoke to Coach (Luke) Fickell. He told me they were offering me a scholarship, and I couldn't believe it. Before I could even commit, Coach Fickell made me call my mom and my head coach, to tell them the news."
The 6-3, 200-pounder also had offers from Cincinnati, West Virginia and Illinois, among others. Lee played quarterback at the Columbus Elite 11 and Nike Camp earlier this year but will likely wind up playing safety, wide receiver or other positions in college.
"We didn't really talk about position today, and it doesn't matter to me," he said. "After camp, we talked about playing linebacker, safety, or possibly nickelback. We have to wait and see when I get there, and we will figure that out. Coach Fickell said he would find me a home."
