First time I looked at any film on this monster. Violently attacks his gap, takes on blockers (albeit a little high) and sheds them, gets in position and makes plays. Sideline movement is tremendous....

After reading the tea leaves (and Grants's recent statements)

If Foley hires Charlie Strong, hes a Gator.

If Foley hires Dan Mullins (and it looks like most of the current staff will stay), still a Gator.

If Foley goes in a different direction ( Stoops? Peterino?) we got a real good shot.

Recruiting Is The Focus, And The Work Is Paying Off - 1070 WINA

So, 24 commitments thus far for Mike London, and they are still pursuing Curtis Grant, one of the top players in the country with offers from Ohio State and Florida just to name a few. Curtis plays for Coach Kane at Hermitage, and it definitely helps Mike London having him in Scott Stadium to play his high school state championship. Curtis lost that game, so of course Coach London can say "Don't let your last memory in Scott Stadium be of losing a state title...come to Virginia and make some new memories ect.." The main point is that Mike London is quietly building a football power, and the process is all based in the great relationships he has established, and the positive reputation he is giving the University of Virginia in Richmond, Northern Va, and Hampton Roads. Coach London is on the road the majority of the month, continuing to build a program Virginia fans can be proud of.

Linebacker Curtis Grant began his offeseason Saturday evening when the Hermitage Panthers fell 26-7 to Battlefield in the state championship game.

"It did [hurt] after the game," Grant said. "But all of us came to the consensus that we made history and we did a lot of big things throughout the season, so we couldn?t be too mad."

Grant, 6-3, 220 pounds, said the 2010 squad was the first Hermitage team to ever play in the state title game. Hermitage won the state championship in 1958, but back then, the champion was decided by points, not a playoff.

Grant has much business to attend to before Feb. 2, 2011, national signing day, when he will presumably sign with a college football team. As of September, he had 27 offers from schools including Florida, Alabama and Michigan, and many others from which to choose.

Grant has spent the past two days in Washington DC on a media tour with the U.S. Army. Grant will play in the Army All-American Bowl Jan. 8, 2011 in San Antonio. His list of experiences this week includes laying a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetary, going to the Pentagon and watching a filming of Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser's TV show "Pardon the Interruption."

Hermitage star Grant has tour of a lifetime - NBC12 Richmond, VA

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Curtis Grant did not have the best weekend. His Hermitage Panthers lost in the state championship game, ending his high school career. But now there's nowhere to go but up for third ranked player in high school football.

Grant spent his first week after the high school football season getting the tour of a lifetime. Grant is one of six finalists for the U.S. Army All-American High School Football Player of the Year award. As a part of being one of the finalists, he was invited to spend the week in Washington D.C. for a week full of unbelievable experiences.

Just watched Curtis's 2009 highlights (from #61 of this thread) and came away impressed with him. Very talented and brings his lunch-pail with him on every play. Looks like he's really well-rounded skill-wise on the field... does a little bit of everything. He has great football insticts and plays fast. The 3:55-4:00 mark of that film shows the kind of character he has too. He's a Tressel recruit.

He'd make a heck of a pairing with Ryan Shazier. Those two would compliament each other really well.

Saw over on the Gaytor board. I don't troll other boards but being here in Florida and with Shazier picking tOSU I had to look. They were trashing him. Saying he was to small and really wanted Grant anyways. I just didn't have the heart to tell them he was on his way to tOSU campus right now. I know he may not become a Buckeye but I sure hope so.:oh:
