I know it must play a little bit of a factor, but how much? If team A has a 52% lead for example but an average recruiting class that particular year and team B is a very close second choice at, say 48% but is building a monster class, is that enough of a reason for the recruit to commit to team B? Sorry, that's a lame example....but thoughts?

Best inside run-stoppers
What we look for: These players have the ability to shed blocks, stay square to the line of scrimmage and play strong at the point of attack, while maintaining gap integrity. Great downhill burst, closing speed, direct pursuit angles and lateral fluidity through the fast-moving traffic are imperative to stop the inside run. Of course, solid tackling skills are a must for any linebacker playing between the tackles.
Curtis Grant (Richmond, Va./Hermitage)
One of the top recruited linebackers in the country, Grant has all the attributes you look for in a middle run-stopper. Aside from good lateral quickness and explosive short-area burst, the No. 3 inside linebacker in the country is great at sifting through the fast-moving traffic and shooting quickly through gaps to meet ball carriers in the hole.

Hermitage High School senior linebacker Curtis Grant has received scholarship offers from colleges from across the nation.
Curtis Grant, one of the most highly recruited football players from the Richmond area, has announced his four finalists for college: Virginia, Florida, North Carolina and Ohio State.
He will make his decision by Feb. 2, national signing day.
A 6-3, 222-pound linebacker from Hermitage, Grant has 27 scholarship offers. Rivals ranks him No. 1 at his position, No. 1 in the state of Virginia and No. 3 nationally in the Class of 2011.
Grant is in San Antonio preparing for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He was named one of six finalists for the U.S. Army player of the year award, which will be announced Friday evening.
Grant has yet to take official visits to Florida and North Carolina. New Florida coach Will Muschamp called Grant in the first few days of taking the job to introduce himself. Grant said his interest in Florida didn't wane despite the coaching change.
Virginia coach Mike London has known Grant since his days as Richmond's coach. But in September, Grant reportedly told London he wasn't interested in Virginia.

Also look out for Vaughters. If Harbaugh leaves, which I think he will, we will have an excellent shot at him.

Agreed on Vaughters...I think all this talk might be enough to at least get him on campus for an official...
