Ohio State recruit came to a sudden decision

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
Conner Crowell had been wrestling with his college decision - Ohio State or Penn State? - for a while. The linebacker prospect from Maryland said the answer came to him at the strangest time.
"It was about a week ago after practice, when I was riding with a friend of mine to go get his car fixed and inspected," said Crowell, of Waldorf (North Point), Md. "And my friend asks me, 'So where you gonna go?' Something just told me at that moment: 'Ohio State. Ohio State.'
"It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make in my life. There were a lot of sleepless nights. I just felt Ohio State was the best opportunity for me."
Crowell held his secret until his team's Senior Night last week, when he became the 18th member of the Buckeyes' 2011 recruiting class. The class could number 22 when national letters of intent can first be signed on Feb.2.
"I just felt comfortable there and loved the atmosphere, all the fans were just great," said Crowell, who made his official visit to OSU the weekend of the win over Miami.
Crowell, who is 6 feet 1, 217 pounds and ranked No.20 by Rivals.com among the nation's outside-linebacker prospects, also had considered Stanford before cutting his list to the final two.
