I agree, Bobby did a great job representing himself, Ohio State, and the Dallas Cowboys.Buckeneye;1203182; said:He did a great job; its amazing to see how many great athletes and people tOSU produces.
Buckeneye;1203182; said:I like how he tried to make that bet with Dana about the scUM game. Of course, the one dude "I'm a huge Ohio State fan, I didnt know they were going fo 5-0"...
Sure, a huge fan you are.

He (Jay Crawford, born in Sandusky) also said Archie was 4-0 against Michigan, when in reality he was 3-0-1, however, cut the guy some slack, Ohio State vs. Michigan has happened 104 times, heaven forbid that someone who calls themself a fan doesn't know about every single game and streak during that span. You can be a huge fan of Ohio State without being as obsessed and knowledgable about Ohio State as the people that hang out around here.
Edit: just noticed that you misrepresented what he said anyways, he said that he didn't know that if Ohio State wins this year it would be the first time Ohio State has won five in a row... not that he didn't know they were trying to win five in a row.

Wade danced around a question about whether Bobby Carpenter could get meaningful playing time at LB. Wade mentioned that Carpenter has talent and worked hard. He said the coaches would try to find ways to get him on the field more, but the fact is that Carpenter is third-string behind Thomas and Kevin Burnett at the weakside ILB spot
Dallas Cowboys' Carpenter rebuilding reputation
Monday, July 28, 2008
OXNARD, Calif. ? The Dallas Cowboys were fed up with Bobby Carpenter.
He played so poorly in the final 2007 preseason game against the Vikings that then-linebackers coach Paul Pasqualoni wanted a little chat with him.
It wasn't pretty.
The Cowboys were trying to figure out what to do with Carpenter, whom they described as "soft" and "non-aggressive."
"I took it as a challenge to go on and play a little tougher," he said of the meeting.
Carpenter had to defend himself. He wasn't performing like a player worthy of the 18th pick of the 2006 draft. During his meeting with Pasqualoni, Carpenter revealed that he played the Vikings game with nerve damage, which he suffered in the preseason opener against the Texans.
"I talked to them about not playing before the [Vikings] game, and I went out there," Carpenter said. "It's something I regret doing now, and it was something I talked to Coach Pasqualoni about. I wasn't scared, I just didn't have a lot of certainty. I had a lot of pain down my arm and my neck. Once that subsided, I started playing pretty well."

Top Five: Views of linebacker Bobby Carpenter

Third-year linebacker Bobby Carpenter is still trying to make an impression with the Cowboys.
Five views of linebacker Bobby Carpenter
A 2006 first-round draft pick who has yet to make an impact and trying hard to shake the "bust" label:
1 Carpenter?s hopes of finally making an impact are clouded by the numbers at linebacker. He is currently running third team behind Zach Thomas and Kevin Burnett at the weakside inside position.
2 Carpenter is admittedly frustrated by his lack of opportunities to show what he can do in Dallas. He is both confused and hopeful that the team?s decision to rebuff trade offers for him means the staff has plans for him in 2008.
3 Coach Wade Phillips is making no promises, but said there were some things they told Carpenter he needed to work on to improve. Phillips said Carpenter has made tremendous improvement in some of those areas. But time will tell if it means increased playing time.
4 Dolphins vice president Bill Parcells, who picked Carpenter in 2006 when he was coach of the Cowboys, tried to reacquire him via a trade on draft day.
5 He?s the son of Rob Carpenter, who played running back with the Houston Oilers and NY Giants.
