LB Bobby Carpenter (All B1G, National Champion)

Uh, no he hasn't...the staff still has overall responsibility for Carp's health. If they're not extremely comfortable with the status of his leg, they have the responsibility to keep him off the field.

I agree. Sure he's earned an awful lot, but it's the coaching/training/medical staff's responsibility to make sure they are playing the most capable players. Before you snap back, it's not a responsibility to me or you, it's a responsibility to the TEAM ONLY to give them the best opportunity to win that game.

If you see Bobby playing at anytime in the game, it's because it's what is best for the team. I trust Jimmy T and Co. with whatever they do on January 2nd.

Are you a guy or girl? That's not a diss if you're a guy, you just seem to like him and express your feelings like you have a crush on him. Once again, not dissing you, just curious.

Profile has a photo of a chick, but one can post any photo in their profile...

(EDIT) Here's the pic:

As someone who has totally destroyed my ankle and will probably have pain the rest of my life, I wouldn't allow Bobby to make the decision. He would no doubt play if it were left up to him, even if it's not the wise thing to do. Listen to the doctors and let them decide...

Since my previous post was sooo good, I will quote myself here...

As much as we all want to see Carp on the field again, playing at the risk of his future should be off the table. It would be completely irresponsible IMO. If it is determined his leg is healthy and not at risk, by all means, play him...

I can see it now...the coaches tell all the players that he is not going to be able to participate in the game...and then instead of JT's pregame talk Bobby walks out dressed and ready to go...silence fills the room...he says "I am playing today"...i can't even imagine how fired up we would be
This remains my fav post in this thread...

Carp will be playing - and he'll be fine... no worse than he was hobbling all year on that bad wheel... he deserves this... the break is healed... and a non-issue... they will wrap that ankle very tightly to support the ligaments and tendons...

Of course, Bobby Carpenter is no stranger to them hills!

Welcome to BP, Stubbs. My father was born in Gore and my mother in Steubenville. We are very happy to see representation in the Hocking Hills (aka God's country) increasing and you are most welcome here!
