At first I didn't recognize him without that long hair.

I am disappointed that he is not getting enough love in the end of the year player awards. Neither is Hawk, despite the accolades. I hope they both give the world a show in our bowl game.

Attention Brady Quinn. This guy is NOT dating your sister.

I can't wait to c this gut play in the Tostito's Fiesta bowl!!!! He is an all-around football player. He is going to have a big game with a lot of emotion! Since he got hurt in the Michigan game, He will play is heart out and lead the buckeyes to victory!!!!!!

I can see it now...the coaches tell all the players that he is not going to be able to participate in the game...and then instead of JT's pregame talk Bobby walks out dressed and ready to go...silence fills the room...he says "I am playing today"...i can't even imagine how fired up we would be

Carpenter improving

Senior linebacker Bobby Carpenter, who suffered a broken fibula against Michigan on Nov. 19, is walking again and listed his chances of playing in the Fiesta Bowl at 40 percent to 50 percent. The OSU sack leader is a probable first-round NFL draft choice, but he won't adopt a cautious approach if he's cleared to play.
"The likelihood of reinjuring something like this is relatively low," he said. "You could just as easily get injured in practice or in (NFL) combine training.
"I've never been worried about injuries throughout my career. The only thing that does is make you become a passive player."

Not sure I'm as impressed with ND's O line as you are, Holy Buckeye.

Not that they aren't a decent group, but I've seen ND play 6 times this season, and I've been underwhelmed by their O line play to say the least.

The Stanford game, in particular, was a dog of a game by their O line. I counted 44 different holding infractions that went uncalled. Why? Who knows. I know that holding goes on during every play, and I took that into consideration. The plays I'm talking about were BLATANT holds. If I'm Walt Harris, I'm sending a tape of that game to the NCAA head of officials. Hopefully he has done that so the Fiesta Bowl officials will get an official "heads up" about the Irish O line.

If Bobby comes back they better be holding or Quinn might not make it out of the first half.

teams have no problem doing that against us.

i think carpenter alone has the ability to change the play of either side of the defensive line. it is VERY difficult to run wide or roll out with his speed out there. i am extremely hopeful that he will play against the domers.

about the holding thing...poor kudla gets held about 75% of the time in any given game. i'm always noticing that.

Quinn sure has thrown for a lot of touchdowns and yards this season and being a former QB, that's not happening if you're running for your life.

The most holding I saw all year was the PSU game against us and they still only finished with 194 total yards of Offense.

With the line at -4 and if Carp playing I would tag this as a "Mother-In-Law Bet" so solid a pick you could bet her money and not worry.

That's because he's got short arms....but he is still a dominant pass rusher

Oh Oh and I almost forgot let's try to keep all the seniors on the front page leading up to this epic game.......
