LB Andrew Sweat (2011-12 B1G Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winner)

BG $

Mom got sick and couldn't make the visit but Andrew says it won't matter because he knows where he wants to go. He is down to tOSU, Michigan, and ND and will likely commit in the next two weeks.

Penn St. fans have got to be ticked. They really like their chances or at least tricked themselves into believing they liked their chances.
Some hand-wringing already.

Don't know what the likelihood of meltdown might be, I'm guessing small - as the outcome has been so heavily signaled not to include PSU.

We only liked our chances a month ago when he told our coaches he was a heavy lean towards us.

As far as us being "ticked", it's actually quite the opposite. Sure, we would've liked to have him but there's plenty of LB's to go around for both of us this year. I always thought thought we would split Zordich and Sweat, whichever way it fell. Now if we were suffering for LB's, it would be different.

There's still Zordich, Michael Mauti, Major, and I doubt you guys offer Beachum now although he may not be a LB.

That is a pretty fair analysis of possible future outcomes. I think the post in the prior linked thread that is most negative is the one by Trig3 who bemoans PSU's ability to make the cut of 3 with a topmost in-state prospect.

Though those with a keener sense of geography understand that Washington PA is really a panhandle bordering town/city that has little direct allegiance to Pittsburgh, let alone State College.
