LB Andrew Sweat (2011-12 B1G Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winner)

While the 2008 class is a banner recruiting year for the state of Pennsylvania, Penn State could lose out big time. Sweat, Hale, Nix, Wilson, Baldwin, Carraway, and Moody (FSU commit) are all likely to end up outside Happy Valley. Pryor, Holley, and Alexander are all considering Penn State, but the Nittany Lions are not the presumptive favorite. Only Wedderburn is a strong PSU lean.

Welcome aboard to Sweat (if in fact it is his decision).

I clicked your link to look at the carnage. I was actually surprised at the lack of idiocy on the audibles board. Other than the funky teeth retardation, it looked good to me.

The Zordich thread over there is a lot more fun.

Thats what I don't understand. I love JOE PA as an coach/person but, if he was coaching at OSU he would have been gone years ago. Penn has great talent every year but, most of the top players go elsewhere, yearly. Is there any bad-mouthing going on about Joe pa's lack of dominating in-state recruiting . If they ever kept the top players home they would be scary to play against.Ohio is so loaded this year but, we only have 13 schollies so I hope PSU picks up the ones they want that we can't fit in. PSU is my # 2 favorite team behind :osu:.

I was once having a crises about this very thing. After you look closely, its not all that bad. We're in the same position with the limited schollies and I really think the staff is higher on out of state guys.

Nix, Baldwin, Carraway, and Moody don't have offers. I honestly don't even want Holley (look at his SA combine size and test numbers). I think we get Alexander, Wedderburn, and a coin filp with you guys for Pryor. So out of the 11 guys you mentioned, we're only really missing out on 3.

I'm guessing since his mom wasn't able to make it this week, Sweat is just waiting for a weekend where his mom can make it to CBus, tour the campus, and meet JT to give JT his verbal in person with his mom's complete blessing.

I believe he has only been to ND once and never to AA. I think there is little suspence in this one.

Well, it's kind of funny you mention this because, when I was over at BN earlier this evening, the little blurb they had for their article said that Andrew was actually down to two schools. I'm guessing that the 2nd or 3rd choices on his list are pretty irrelevent though.

I think he's done with trips for now... A visit for his mom would likely be post-commitment...

think he said his final 3 were OSU, UM, and ND. I'm not worried......edit....I guess it is just OSU and ND.
