Is my math correct? Can Sonny play in the NFL at 20? (3 years removed from high school)
That doesn't happen very often.
Think you meant for the second tweet to be in Lathan’s threaded
Depends I think. I think both Tommy and Steele return next year so you'd think he'll have to stay at safety. That said, he's going to grow to 240-245 pounds so you'd think wherever he plays it'll be near the LOS. All I know is I'm so excited to see this kid play next year and IMO will be an enormous upgrade over whoever he's replacing. Was thinking how amazing it was he played this year at 17 years old.
He was impressive in limited non-special teams snaps.
Big, fast, instincts.
Question - Does he slide into Hickman’s spot or outgrow it.
He has to be on the field.
Another year of maturity and in the weight room and he will be special.
It seems like before he’s done he could end up anywhere between safety and DE.
Personally I hope he settled in around 230 lbs and becomes Cam Chancellor.

I think Sonny has the ability to be better than Will Anderson.

I was thinking he'd be closer to Sean TaylorHigh school: 24/7 lists him as 6' 4", 215 lbs.
College (Freshman): Ohio State lists him at 6' 4'', 222 lbs.
Twenty more lbs. is a lot of weight. I know everybody is different; and a lot depends on genetics, body structure, diets, and workouts, etc. Realistically, how many more years do you think it will take for him to get to 240-245?
Just depends. He was a 222 pound 17 year old this year. If they pushed it (Gee Scott program) he could be 245 next year. Naturally though he could be there by his junior year.High school: 24/7 lists him as 6' 4", 215 lbs.

No doubt. Sonny will eliminate that safety need next year. That would be amazing. Just hoping he shows out in spring and summer and locks up a starting job.
If Tommy and Steele do return, they're only a few CBs and a safety away from a great defense.
I can't wait to see Stokes and Styles back there, I'd love Ransom back for his talent and leadership. But Proctor should move on, I'd rather see what we have with a healthy Williams(fingers crossed), Dunn and MartinezI remain excited about Styles and Stokes at the safety positions. Maybe Proctor or Ransom will stay another year to bring some leadership.
