LB A.J. Hawk (2x All-American, Lombardi Trophy, National Champion, Super Bowl Champion)

I agree 100% but there is no sense in a meltdown over something that is already over. The usual responses (email, phone, etc) are already in motion on other forums...I hate this decision, but I also know there is nothing that will come from a blowout around here.

Congrats to Paul...if you become half of the legend AJ Hawk will be revered as, you have truly done something. However, I doubt that will happen.

Awards are wonderful affirmations of talent...however, they are not always the truth.

You, sir, are correct. (However, get ready for the avalanche that's coming.)

So... AJ is the highest vote-getter for the Heisman among linebackers (heck, defensive players period), 29 Heisman voters thought he was among the top 3 players in the country at any position, and he doesn't win the Butkus???

Any possibility a few Butkus voters were actually Joe Pa's dead cousins??? :wink2:

If AJ Hawk honestly cannot win this award than what does the next OSU linebacker need to do to win the Butkus? Rarely does a linebacker get that much pre-season hype, and not only live up to it, but surpass it.

At least we know the recruiting pitch that Paterno is using now:

"Come to PSU, and win all the awards that you arent worthy of winning."
