MT @Bill_Kurelic: Urban Meyer visits Army All-American Lawrence Cager @LC1era_ in 15 min http://bit.ly/12v84xT /// Visits #NotreDame Friday
As reported first in Intel last night, WR Lawrence Cager is NOT visiting.
very odd. Seems to be a depth chart thing to mehttps://twitter.com/rivalsmike/status/544686257284997120
Per this.. Looks like we didn't make the top 5
Hear wanted early commit before he was ready and now Herman gone “@MrSuperJay: @rivalsmike what happened to OSU?”
You've got to read between the lines here.@rivalsmike
The problem is that I'm not sure how well off we actually are when it comes to bigger receivers. We are completely loaded (in theory) with the Jalin Marshall types, but not the Michael Thomas types. We could definitely use Cager IMO.It wouldve been nice to get Cager, but WR is not close to a need. Were pretty stocked, much rather have Dlineman at this point
http://www.cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/2014/12/ohio_state_buckeyes_recruting.htmlCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I believe Herman was his main recruiter. That would also help explain the timing of everything.
It was interesting when Ohio State, once figured to be one of Cager's leaders, wasn't on it. He said that's "mainly because of the coaching change."

Herman was not Cager's recruiter. He's a convenient excuse.
Larry Johnson is Cager's area recruiter. Zach Smith is his position recruiter. Zach and Urban met with him and gave him the word that OSU was getting full. That was the exact moment when OSU went from Cager's long time "dream school" to out of his top 5.
No matter how Cager spins it, OSU isn't going to take him in this class. Neither is Notre Dame, which was part of Cager's "top 3" announced just a few weeks ago. Alabama has also dropped their communication with him. I think he ends up at Wake Forest or possibly Va Tech.
