How would LA change that. It's all "potential".Hodgepodge;1654538; said:Well, there are plenty of players. Whether there is plenty of talent remains to be seen, as only Hines has seen appreciable playing time.
Who is our starting line up at safety? Who is our starting kick off returner and punt returner?DontHateOState;1654526; said:Need? To whom? Random internet poster outstading?

Outstanding;1654609; said:Last I checked the back ups barely sniffed the field on D? Last I checked the positions hadn't been decided because we lost 2 long term starters. That doesn't provide a lot of comfort. You can throw out players name but in reality they are all untested, except Hines.
Sure what else could I be doing right now? My opinion is based off of a somewhat similar situation last year. A young CB from Maryland I believe, was a tOSU "lean" he committed to PSU. When he wanted to change his pledge to tOSU, the staff said no thanks.DiamondBuck;1654571; said:What? Given the knowledge implied by your post, care to explain whose ego is too big on the staff's side? I personally know nothing about LA's motivation for his actions nor the staff's; but then again I haven't posted in this thread implying I do.
You are absolutely right as I feel I am as well. We both have very valid points.MililaniBuckeye;1654617; said:And bringing in a true-freshman safety helps this "situation" how? You really think a true freshman is going to come right in and start at safety? Getting Anderson likely won't help the immediate "need" at safety...he'd likely at best play on the kickoff coverage team and get some garbage time on defense.
Outstanding;1654626; said:So why leave the scholly empty when we have exceptional player who could possibly fill it?
You may be right, it depends on how you view the word "ego" in athletics and anything competitive your ego can be your driving force to be better or it can be your down fall or anything in between the two.RB07OSU;1654547; said:Too much man. Yeah he's a great player but if the staff takes a pass, I will more than understand.
Ok, since you answer my question with a question I will do the same.sparcboxbuck;1654636; said:Because scholly's aren't given based on ability or potential alone?
