I thought it was a heckuva fun watch.
And it was probably the first action movie I can remember with a scene about library classification schema. :nerd:

My girlfriend was not amused with me at the end of that movie. I just sat there and said..."wtf? I just wasted 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back for that?!?!"

My wife wants me to watch that movie with her (theater/redbox whatever). "It is a psychological thriller that makes you guess about 5 times." Her words. Should I be prepared to be disappointed?

The Usual Suspects is one of my favorite movies for reference.

I'll give the obligatory ***SPOILER ALERT***
This movie just disappointed me. She's not dead. Duh!! Right? But, I'm sitting there thinking "This girl has it COMING. I can't WAIT for her to get hers. She's GONNA get hers..." Never happens. Save the time unless you really have nothing else to do

I didn't dislike Gone Girl...but the ending did kind of leave me going wtf that's it? The movie throughout though I found enjoyable. She had a very well thought out plan that's for sure. I could see the wheels turning in my girls eye during the movie...maybe not a good movie to watch after all.

I think that if you like Usual Suspects that you'll probably like Gone Girl. Completely different movies, but both are very well acted (Including Ben Affleck, he's getting better, but Rosamund Pike is spectacular, as always) and well directed. There are definitely some twists and spoilers notwithstanding, it does keep you guessing a bit.

Thanks guys. I tried my best to not spoil anything by giving a heads up but I was unaware of the spoiler tags. My apologies.
No worries, click on the postage stamp like button (to the right of the film strip)). This allows you to insert a set of spoiler tags, inside of which you can type something like we did above. I went ahead and edited it for you.
Side note...could you explain the bpSpy feed and clue me in to how that works please?
Up top, click on bpSpy. This page will load a live feed of the posts on BP, which auto refreshes and shows each new post. This is a great way to follow the dialogue without clicking on each new thread.
