More of a documentary then a movie but incredible nonetheless. Without question, the most intense documentary I've ever seen. Astounding that anyone made it out of that conflict alive. Best first hand accounts you'll ever get from the Eastern Front. I highly recommend anyone interested in this stuff to take a peak.

thanks for the recommendation, smudger.

in regards to the "most intense" documentary, have you seen dear zachary: a letter to a son about his father? no film, especially one particular part, has ever shaken me like that one. that part of the documentary absolutely will render you speechless, crying, or in a fit of rage... perhaps all three.

as i warn each person, do not research the film before watching it.

Yeah, I think WolverineMike ruined it for me.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Really not sure what I feel. Acting was very good, but was sort of bland for my taste when it comes to the spy v spy genre. Loved the mind game, but something was just lacking for me with this one. Can't put my finger on it.
