I am legend....

still trying to decide how I feel about it.

Found it online a few nights ago and watched it.
How are vampire people with a faster metabolism going to run and knock over a Ford Explorer (4800 lbs of car mind you) or bounce their heads off of acrylic glass until it breaks? Please

Besides that the concept of the movie and how it was done in a modern sense was disturbing and a good update.

It wasn't some random guy. It was Mark Whalberg's character who had figured out that Matt Damon's character was a fraud. It was revenge. Was it the most creative ending? No, but it certainly made sense and fit the context of the story.

um, no, before that, in the elevator. Did you really think I didn't know Mark Whahlberg's character?

It wasn't the very end, but essentially the ending.

Thanks, that makes more sense.

If were talking about that scene, I pretty much agree. It definitely could've been better.

EDIT- My reading comprehension sucks. He even said it was the scene where DiCaprio was killed. My bad. :)

and now you can ignore my last post.

That whole thing was really bad. Honestly, they could have kept the ending and just developed that guy just a little. Make him Damon's right hand man, some seemingly straight laced guy. All he needed was a few scenes. Scorcese really seemed to go for shock value there, and all I could think was "what the fuck was that?" The whole plot was way to developed to throw that in. It just didn't fit with the movie.

BTW...my dad hated The Departed. I had to turn it off. I have to give my dad a little of a break because he was a little sauced at the time, but here was the deal...

We watched much of the movie, but dad was heading to dreamland. Then the scene where it's Nicholson and Damon in the porn theater came on. He woke up, and next thing he watches is Jack show Matt a dildo through his pants. My dad went off and said "what kind of piece of shit movie is this, he just showed him his penis! What kind of crap are you watching!" I of course responded "Dammit dad, it's a dildo! Do you think Jack Nicholson has a black penis?! He was messing with the guy!"

Needless to say my Dad didn't care. He was unhappy and went to bed. Of course I can't blame him. Not always a good thing to wake up to Jack Nicholson waving a black penis from his pants at Matt Damon. Only watching Brokeback Mountain during "that scene" would have been worse.

In the end I made it up with "Good Night and Good Luck" and then the "Aviator" tonight. He liked them.
