I taped this from a cable channel (IFC) a month or so ago and watched it today. IFC doesn't edit the movies, they show them intact. You do however, have to fast forward through their commercials. It starts out with Parker and some other guys robbing the Ohio State Fair. They double cross Parker and leave him for dead; and the rest of the movie about him getting even. Not a bad robber/heist movie.

I found Harry and the Hendersons on Netflix this morning, and I hadn't seen it in years, so of course I watched it. Loved watching that on TV when I was a kid, and loved watching it now. Also watched The Purge before that, and it was ok.

Had a bit of a marathon on Sunday.....

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil was my favorite of the day. Fun & campy horror-ish flick. I liked it a lot more than Cabin in the Woods.

Dumb, fun hockey movie. Not a bad way to kill two hours.

Wife came home and she picked this -- hadn't seen it in probably 10 years. From the same lot that made such other mockumentaries as Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind, and For Your Consideration. Definitely has some good moments inter-mingled with being aggravated and/or mortified with the obnoxiousness of the characters.

Good lord. I'd like to say I wasn't the one that picked this, but I was. I'm sure some people watch it and are inspired.....it made me want to kill myself. I wouldn't say it was bad -- just horribly depressing to me.

The Forest: Garbage. Which was unfortunate because the concept could have been really interesting, and the lead actress (I know her as Ann Boleyn on The Tudors) has talent. But they basically gave her a salt shaker for a turd sandwich. 1.5/5

The VVitch: I really liked it, but I agree with the somewhat cynical review I saw that said "90% of the people in the theater with you will be too stupid to understand it." For a history buff like me, their showing of the tremendous isolation combined with abject fear of God and sin in Puritan New England was beautifully, beautifully done. The slow burn wasn't a boring slow burn because of it. The accents were a little hard to understand, but the acting was really good. And the supernatural parts were almost incidental to a story that was basically about dread. Excellent. 4/5
