So I've been viewing the top-100 movies on Rotten Tomatoes, and I've found some really strong candidates for library reservations.

Then I pulled up the 2013 top-100 list. Gravity is #1? Are you kidding me? Even sadder is the disappearance of the critic echoing my thoughts that he was strongly rooting for space to win after enduring Sandra's whining.

I did the same with the top 100....glad I did, Wild Strawberries is in my top 10 now.

Sicaro - 8 out of 10. I'm a sucker for drug cartel + border issues so this was an easy movie to like. Brolin was good but Del Toro is a boss. Great action, one of those 'exactly what I expected' that you still enjoy plenty.

The top movie of all time looks like a strong list. Many of the others...not so much. I mean, Mad Max Fury Road as the #2 horror film of all time?

It's better if you visualize the space debris as a sentient monster.

"I'll just hide here patiently until she climbs into the next space station...THEN I'll jump out and fuck it up! Muahahahaha"

I'd like to thank Pixar for making me dread what is going to happen to my kids at some point over the next 8-10 years. Talk about a movie that just rips the heart out of any parent with young children.

Which movie?

That's got to be Inside Out. Every I know that has seen it has come away from it a hot mess.

Ouch, I'll keep my young one away from that one

Nothing wrong for the young ones since it's mostly over their head. It's the parents that can't handle it. We watched it as a family yesterday and my wife got busy doing other things so she didn't really pay attention or else it would have ruined the rest of her day. Good movie, just brutal on the emotions for parents.

It's gonna make me feel like dog shit cuz I moved my troops to Jersey... when two were in HS.. worked out VERY well for my SR son.. horribly for FR daughter.. and 2nd grader wanted to move back to Ohio because no one in the lunch room would help him buy milk.. youngest went from 30 kids in his 1st grade class at Stow Holy Family... to a dozen rooms and 300 kids in the 2nd grade

SR son got lucky because he was the new school stud athlete... but he immediately went right back to Ohio (OSU) with his Hoban HS friends he grew up with
HS girls are horrible... cliques.. catty... Sadness was her 'best friend'
wouldn't have done it with hindsight

I can already see the different emotions take over in my daughter (almost 5). Most of the time she's happy and outgoing, but a couple of times I've found her moping when she thinks someone doesn't want to play with her. For better or worse she is going to be a giant among the other girls, which I'm sure will cause drama as she gets older. Everyone already thinks she's a couple years older than she is so our goal is get her as involved with sports as we can to make sure she keeps her self esteem.

My parents moved me when I was pretty much the same age as the girl in the movie. I spent a year in a new similarly sized elementary with all new kids before all 7 elementary schools dumped into one D1 Jr High. Needless to say I was never the same even though I was the only athlete in my class to get a full ride.
