I've seen all three of the Swedish ones. I agree that those are a little better, but I thought the Fincher version was quite good as well...Muck;2361607; said:The Hollywood remake, or the real one?

Remake - acting was good, it was beautiful, score was excellent. If the original is better (as I've heard), it will probably be a favorite of mine. I'll watch it very soon.
I agree. Kind of hard to see how they're going to get Lisbeth to the character she becomes in the the next two installments...particularly "Hornet's Nest"...Muck;2361775; said:They also fiddled with some details that were important for the later movies (and in the book version). Ultimately I think Fincher made a very good film, and Mara & Craig are fien actors but it's also a movie in which you can see the influence to pander towards American audiences (Character development is taking up too much time, we need more chase scenes!). More specific things, Fincher went to such extremes to isolate Lisbeth without really explaining why she is the way she is that she comes off as a borderline sociopath at the same time Blomkvist is reduced to an almost bumbling status, he never really figurs out anything on his own unless it's by sure luck.

The 'Swedishness' of it is a big deal to me. I felt the same way about Let The Right One In & Let Me In.
I havent seen Safe House, but i can't imagine the banter between those two was any where close to what it was in Two Guns. I though that was the best part of the movie was Marky Mark and Denzel going back and forthTwo Guns... exactly the same as Denzel's last ebony&ivory buddy movie, Safe House, with Marky Mark instead of Ryan Reynolds laregly set in Mexico instead of South Africa.

Agreed. I thought that Denzel turned the Denzel-volume down a little and Wahlberg did a good job of working with him. I thought the Vice Lieutenant / Battlestar Admiral did a nice job, too.I havent seen Safe House, but i can't imagine the banter between those two was any where close to what it was in Two Guns.
