=REALLY late night for me.

Watched this on Netflix the other day. What an awesome job by Pacino!

Recently, I watched Swingers:

It was okay, some funny parts, but too slow for me. I was waiting for something to happen the entire movie, and nothing ever happened. Kind of depressing actually.

Catfish came up on our Netflix cue - I think the wifey added it after someone recommended it.

It was actually pretty compelling and had a few surprises...

there was some strange drama about that where they billed it as being a true documentary but it really wasn't. I think that was the movie.

thanks for the recommendation, smudger.

in regards to the "most intense" documentary, have you seen dear zachary: a letter to a son about his father? no film, especially one particular part, has ever shaken me like that one. that part of the documentary absolutely will render you speechless, crying, or in a fit of rage... perhaps all three.

as i warn each person, do not research the film before watching it.

Good lord was that traumatic.

There were some choices the director made that I did not care for, but overall........ouch. :(

Die Welle (The Wave)

Random pick off of Netflix. Perhaps a bit predictable but beyond that, fantastic. If I were a high-school teacher, I would make every single one of my classes watch this film.

A German fictionalized telling of The Third Wave experiment at a California high school in 1967.

Hmmm...can I make it three posts in a row? Time to go find another movie to watch! Huzzah for a day off! :pimp:
