Agreed. The ending wasn't the greatest, but it had a good script and awesome cast. I swear Phillip Seymour Hoffman is only in movies to string together as many cuss words as possible. "Well fuckityshitfuckdamn, what are we going to do now?"

I got the DVD from the library and watched this one last night.

I liked it when I first saw it in 1971 and can say it is still a great movie.

Green Street Hooligan 2: Not nearly as good as the first one, but soccer violence is always good for a laugh. And this one takes place in prison!

"The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" Excellent over all murder mystery. A somewhat slow start is the only problem. Long movie, too. We don't get enough of this genre of movie any more. Some sex. Some violence.
Rooney Mara rocks piercings and a dragon tattoo. Daniel Craig leads an all star cast.

Will be interesting to see how it stacks up with the original Swedish version... Noomi Rapace was outstanding in the Swedish version

Saw it last night. Wife prefers the US version (odd for her) and I prefer the Swedish version. But both are excellent. US version women are generally more attractive, though the Salander character in the US version (Mara) is - shall we say, more Suicide Girl than Rapace was.

'The Ides of March'...outstanding political drama with a great cast. Any flick that pairs Paul Giammatti and Philip Seymour Hoffman would have to try really hard to fail...8/10

The whole point was that Gosling's character transforms from the wide-eyed idealist to the hardened political operative. He basically became the jaded figure Giammatti's character warned him he would become if he didn't get out.
