Speaking of clever Indies, I just watched "Exam" which I had DVRd on IFC. Some people would think it's boring, but I thought it was really awesome, several twists, story was kind of hokey in spots but it was summed up rather nicely and I thought the acting was surprisingly pretty good. Innovative little concept...I recommend it to anyone.

Exam, like Cube a bit, is the kind of movie I like. Devil is one like that too: a few people in a weird situation trying to figure it out.

My guilty pleasure is Sci Fi and Fantasy flicks, but I think I've run out. I need to find something to download, um, I mean rent. Modern if possible. I don't watch TV except for Game of Thrones and Walking Dead (oh and Tosh). Help! I am so freaking bored off work at night. I suppose I should practice the drums or guitar or program or something, but I want some dead time.

Took a rare trip to the theater to see Paranormal Activity 3. Wasn't all bad, I think it would have been more effectively scary if the story hadn't already been told in 2 previous movies and the whole Blair Witch found footage thing hadn't been done to death the last 10 years or so. Still, it had its moments, and the use of a couple of ancillary characters from outside the family kept it from getting boring. There is a bit of a twist at the end, but nothing earth-shattering. Worth a look regardless, but maybe a rental.
