is Lantern part of the whole Avengers thing with Hulk and Thor and Iron Man and Cpt America, or is he not a part of that movie that's coming out next year.

Latern is DC... Ironman, Spiderman, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Fantastic Four, etc... are Marvel.

Batman and Superman are also DC.

They won't cross unless something crazy happens with a whole new storyline.

Super 8

Liked it. Thought it was pretty good, not great. Hard for kids to carry a story like this.

JJ ABRAMS CALM DOWN WITH THE FUCKING LENS FLARE

EDIT: I also feel like the story would've been better without a monster? Something felt off about the film.. Not sure if something felt forced, or if something was missing. It was good, just not as good as I expected it to be.

Created by a guy who grew up a fundamentalist Christian who has since changed his view on the religion over the course of time. He definitely could have elaborated a bit more in certain areas (which looks like he does in the DVD with extra features, but I watched this on Netflix), but an interesting take overall.

DISCLAIMER: Please do not watch this if you are devout in your beliefs, it will only piss you off.

I saw Green Lantern today. I don't see how Thor was so praised and GL so panned, it was like the same movie. Yes, the story was a bit muddled but watching it in 3D made up for storyline flaws. Worth the 8 bucks I put down IMO

a lot of it I think has to do with how they portrayed it compared to the comics, and from what i've read GL bombed on that

I find myself liking comic book movies if I don't have much background on the comic (like Thor), the ones I know about, I seem to be more critical on (batman's, superman's, etc) Really nervous/excited for Captain America though, my favorite comic book character, they better not fuck it up

Saw Thor in 3D tonight... Meh. What's with the super action to begin the movie, then 80% of the movie spent as a mortal, then back to badass Thor at the end? I don't know, maybe I'm a cynical one, but I thought this movie lacked a lot. I feel if you are going to call the movie Thor, you'd better bring it with the CGI (they did, but not enough).

Plus the 3D was useless for half the movie.

I never read comics other than MAD back in the day so it's all new to me. I think it's the 3D effects that make them watchable, it's pretty cool visuals.
