Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

Decent movie...definitely worth seeing, especially for someone like me that considers the original Wall Street to be his Sound of Music. The most disappointing part was I think the writers completely phoned in the ending. That was extremely frustrating. Cool cameo by Charlie Sheen...although his character's demeanor/dialogue made no sense...he felt more like Charlie Harper than Bud Fox. Shia LaBeouf continues to astound me...how he finds consistent work is beyond me. His agent is a miracle worker. Michael Douglas' reprisal as Gekko was magnificent in my opinion...I thought it was perfect...a nod to the original character while going in a new direction the way a person who spent eight years in prison might.

Nothing like a good old fashioned Chinese western.

Saw "The Hills Have Eyes 2" on IFC the other night. I wish I had the ability to describe exactly how bad it was, but it's awfully difficult to put into words. It was kind of like watching 2 hours of those horrid Miller Lite commercials, only if Flo from the Progressive commercials was always the bartender bad.

Also watched the Dawn of the Dead remake...was actually pretty good, and far enough from the original to be able to stand on its own.

I think I posted in here a while back that The Hills Have Eyes 2 is one of the worst movies I've ever seen, if not the worst. It was fucking awful. It made the first (remake) look like a masterpiece, and it was also garbage.

EDIT: Yep. Twice.

The Hills Have Eyes 2 was on HBO, it was so bad that I had to watch. Worse than the first, and that's saying something.

Haven't seen either of those. Probably going to keep it that way. I don't really want to see movies that could potentially top Paul Blart for my least favorite ever. :tongue2:

The Hills Have Eyes 2 is right there with it, now that I think about it.

I couldn't even finish the remake...I can only imagine how bad the sequel is.

The remake wasn't great but it wasn't butt-assed terrible, it was the French director who did Haute Tension, so it had its moments I thought. This one I saw was the sequel to the remake, not the sequel to the original (which was bad enough), and this made the remake look like Casablanca.

I did see a clever little British flick called Eden Lake last night...I would give that one 3 stars. It was quite good actually, well-paced and well-filmed, and though the dialogue could be hard to understand, the acting wasn't terrible either, especially by the leads (the woman was also nice to look at, which helps). The story had some predictable elements, but I loved the way they filmed the ending. Worth a view.
