D9 will be a "The Day the Earth Stood Still"-like classic in about 20 years. Mark it down.

To be honest I already see it as a quasi-remake of Alien Nation...except substituting SA's past of Apartheid & current feelings towards Nigerians for Angelenos feelings about Mexican illegal workers...

The comparison was more in terms of reception than content.

TDTEST has a semi-cult following today, but I have spoken to very few people who saw it THEN that didn't absolutely love it.

I really wanted this to be good, but my wants were apparently not enough. 3/10
It started out off down the right path with Freddy as a mental disease causing suicide, but went back to traditional flailing people all around the room murders. The more realistic the horror movie the better. I wish they would have continued down the mental disease road more with the killings. The back-story to Freddy is fine and dandy, but he doesn't have the quirky personality from the originals.

I am ashamed to say that last night was the first time I've seen this movie. Makes me want to let my hair grow and switch to plastic frames for my glasses.
